Okay, non horse owner here, reasonably ignorant in anything much horse related .. so be nice to me :) Why do horses get clipped please ? advantages , non advantages etc Thanks in advance.

Main reason is because they get so fluffy in winter that they sweat a lot and it can be uncomfy for them to be sweaty and hot all the time :)

It doesn’t harm the horse. A horse can get a sunburn if it’s white but they have protection for that too educate yourself
