Hi Clive another great Video from you brilliant effort off an unfancied peg, can I ask would you do anything different if you drew that peg again in similar conditions, would you use ground bait, would you feed heavier or fish the feeder etc in the hope of drawing them up quicker, just picking your brains for my future forages to the Wye I often lose faith when hours pass and I've not had a fish I just pleasure fish, but I aways want to catch and the more the merrier, Cheers Clive 👍

Hi Stephen, thanks for your comments. The swims above the pump house are very hard. Some are devoid of fish, yet I have a funny feeling that Roach live there. When it's clear, they are hard to catch, but with a little colour, they can be caught easier.

@@CliveBranson Thanks for your Reply Clive its good to know for times when pegs are limited on the favoured pegs, during one of my earliest visits to the Wye with a certain Kieth Price and his mate whose name I can't recall [they were both in the Angling Times years ago for their Bream haul on the Huntspill River probably 30yrs ago] we fished up near the Pump House, Keith and I fished pegs next to each other and his butty fished standing the water trotting a float down and he caught a net full of Dace, Keith caught well, I struggled myself and ended up watching Keith emptying the river 🤣 Keep the Video's coming Keith, I've learnt loads watching video's of fishing the WYE from you and others, can't wait to get back up there. Tight Lines

great effort from a shyte peg...why organisers even peg these dead stretches is beyond mee... ive fished a god few of these on the thames i can tell ya..... id be inclined to just sit on a feeder bang down the middle and hope to snag something lumpy..... you need to start winning a few bob that cardif nomads jacket is starting to look a bit threadbare.... nice one ..

The Peg above has 31lb of great big roach the week before. Not sure if that constitutes a ‘Dead Stretch’ 🤔
