Great Video, I have one small improvement... provided that you exported your model in the same pose you fitted your Garment. If you export your character right after importing it into Mixamo, without an animation selected, you can export it in the 'original Pose' (not T-Pose). Then you import that fbx to CLO and save it as a Pose. you can delete the avatar after, you just need the pose. When you then proceed to import the fbx with the animation, you can Pose the Model via the Pose-file instead of fiddling around with posing manually. ;)

Hey ! Thank you for this amazing tutorial ! I have a small problem though. In the 2nd part, I can't seem to be able to export the FBX in a zip file : I'm on 6.1.250, and the zip option seems to have been replaced with "Embed Media"... which gives out a black fbx, without any texture. Any tips on how to be able to feed Mixamo the avatar with it's texture? The only way I see right now is to export the model through GLB, convert it to FBX in Blender and reexport it from there, but maybe there's a simpler way ^^ thank you!

FBX export has been updated and ZIP is no longer an option. Use "Embed Media"

However when I use embed media, even if I select "include avatar", the result fbx is always black, I have no texture on it :( EDIT : you have to: - Hit "Include avatar" - Hit Embed Media - Hit Diffuse Color combined on Texture But then in Mixamo the texture is all wrapped weird, and Mixamo is not able to process the rig :/ Should I post this somewhere on a forum maybe?

IF you are RENDERING the animation it is going to take a very long time. Each FRAME is a rendered image. So if it takes your computer 10 minutes to render a single image, multiply that by the number of frames in the animation. [ex. 10mins x 500frames = 5000mins or 3.5 days]

The CLO animation feature does not have true camera properties like a video editing software. One option would be to capture two different views/angles and edit externally.

please any updates with the new version clo3D 7.3. ? Did the parameters change while exporting? avatar exporting in FBX file on clo3d DOESN'T work on Mixamo. There are problems with the arms and while exporting it back in clo3D with the animation, I have a message error 2" Arrangement points were not fitted in the avatar". PRESSING ok, it is giving me the avatar with the arm distorted!

Absolutely. In the 3D Toggle Menu, under Avatar Display simply press the first option; Hide Avatar. The garments will interact with the hidden Avatar.

You might have to download the assets in the library. If you see a little blue arrow or blue N in the library click on the arrow to download new assets. If you are on a version lower than 5.1 These are not available in lower versions.

There are certain versions of CLO that have issues when importing FBX files back into CLO. Be sure you are using the latest version of CLO.

Rendering Animations does take a log time, there is not a lot you can do to speed this up as it depends on your computers processing capacity and speed. The Render properties action is the area where you would adjust quality which can also affect speed. Lower quality light/material settings combined with a higher noise threshold will speed up the process but the compromise is image quality. Having a PC or MAC that meets the highest recommended specs will help, but still overall, Rendering animations can often take hours.

This can be done by simple hiding the actual Avatar after you have recorded the animation. It does not matter if the Avatar is visible or not during the actual recording, but after this is made you can click Shift+A to show/hide the avatar. Then when you playback the animation and record it for saving the Avatar will not show.

Hello, thanks for the video is great ! But i I have some issue with rendering. My computer is really slow and it’s taking 4 hours to get a turntables images and video and more than 5 hours to get the video in graphic motion. I reduced the time of rendering in max 10 min and the noise at 0,070. Am I doing something wrong? Do you suggest to change some parameters ? Thanks in advance :-)

First I would check your hardware specs; support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000307168-CLO-system-requirements-May-2021-. If you are RENDERING Turntables and Animations it IS going to take quite a while. However many frames you choose multiplied by how long it takes to create a single image.
