as a former console player myself, sometimes i miss the days when cloakers werent in the game (360/ps3 pre bains update, which also added the black izma dozers and buffed the range of tasers, apparently cloakers were originally absent from pd2 due to a bug where getting kicked by one would just straight up crash the game). once moving to pc cloakers became less of a problem due to easier aim making headshots easier, as well discovering parkour aced (sprint in any direction and reload while sprinting). now i will forever hate mf tasers more, particularly since shockproof was nerfed to only work if interacting with it in the first 2 seconds.

one of the best experiences i ever had in payday 2 was when i was playing golden grin, i stepped outside the casino for a second, heard a cloaker SPRINTING at me from behind, I started booking it while hearing him just behind me since i was using some speed skills and wasnt wearing armor, we were the same speed, the reason i got murdered was because he was running at me for so long that the sound stopped so i turned around to see if he was still chasing, and instantly got decked in the face
