This is "AI" at its best. The original "AI" (Artificial Insemination). They collect 1000's of Straws and store them in liquid nitrogen. Other Contractors/breeders buy straws and when there cows are in heat they have a vet or "someone that knows what they are doing" artificially inseminate them. 1 bull generally only breeds about 30 cows a year naturally (give or take) . So depending on how many straws he sold its not uncommon to have that many cows bred when you do it that way.
