I don't want to hurt your feelings but it looks like your tail stock needs to be adjusted.

@@clockrepairsmerseyside8303 I could be wrong, but it looks like the center of rotation of your chuck is not lined up with the center of you tail stock. I have a little lathe like yours and from the factory mine was way out of alignment. It's hard to tell from the video, I could be wrong. Just a thought. Very cool trick with the block of brass BTW. I need to remember that one. Kind of a mini steady rest.

@redpillcommando this lathe has a sort of cam adapter that is fitted to the tail stock , excuse my description 😄 this enables you to centra the chuck and tail stock, as you probably know accuracy falls short on Chinese lathes so you do spend time setting up, a lot of my videos are aimed to give people an idea or maybe a way to approach certain things as on a daily basis working with clocks I see different ideas some with the wow factor & others not so much, back to our Chinese lathes,it’s handy & does get a lot of use we hold things in it to file etc etc etc the things I would not do with my Myford or Peerless watchmakers lathe so it’s really as handy as my staking set so from that point of view I like it.
