Afternoon, Andrew... I'm admiring your interest & enthusiasm towards these old Connecticut clocks. I've learned alot watching your S. Thomas series. Really appreciate these tutorials. I hope you'll do more. Some more Show & Tell, please; maybe some of the reproductions you've made with your Dad? Big congratulations on breaking the nicotine habit. I did the same after a solid 50 years. (Yikes.) That's an especially nice example of the Gothic "Steeple" design Jerome; thanks for all the great content, and am looking forward to seeing some new episodes when your able. Take care...

My husband found an old clock in Portugal back in 1974 while seving in the Air Force. It's an Ansonia Gothic Steeple clock and it still works. It had worm damage to the wood when he brought it back to the states. Loved the worm eaten marks as it adds to the character. I was just rewinding and noticed "ANSONIA" written on the key. ORIGINAL mfg.label on the back was partially torn off. Yo ur site and narration has been very interesting. Glad to have found your site.

P. S. My most recent clock, a nice little E. N. Welch "Cottage"- also has the cup bell chime. Thankfully not as fast running as yours, but I do like the spiral "Gong" type better...
