I need to pace myself with this nostalgia. Jesus Christ, this game was a huge part of my childhood. There is such care put into these games. They just don't put this much tender love and care into games anymore. I mean, they made a fucking Salsa song intro! Fun Clockwork Fact: The ending song sang by the perfume doll "Soltia" called "A Lullaby" was written by the composer for his newly born daughter right around the time of production for the first game. It was originally going to be called "A Lullaby for Ms. (Insert her initial here)", much in the vein of members of The Beatles dedicating song titles to their kids and/or wives, but was not allowed as it came across as too personal. Saturn Memories The Western media had an agenda against Sega and bad mouthed their exclusives. I remember reading that Guardian Heroes (the reason I bought a Saturn outside Capcom fighters) sucked cause it wasn't 3D! They gave it a 3/10 I think!

+SoreThumbsBill IIRC, the only Saturn game EGM gave any attention to was Dragon Force - to the extent that they even lamented over the fact that its sequel would not leave Japan. Clockwork Knight 2 (video game) known is Japan 🇯🇵 as Clockwork Knight: Pepperouchau’s Adventure-Last Volume is a side-scrolling platform video game 🎮 developed and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn. It is the sequel to Clockwork Knight, a title also released for the Sega Saturn. A second sequel, the working titles for which included Clockwork Knight 3: Pengin War and Clockwork Knight Puzzle 🧩, used gameplay similar to the Bomberman series, but never made it past the beta stage. Another sequel, titled Knight N’ Knight, was scheduled to appear on the GameCube, but never released.

I enjoyed both Bug! and CWK but both had problems. Rayman and Oddworld showed that it was still possible to make a successful 2D franchise and they were pure 2D. @TheJManGames8 жыл бұрын
What emulator you use Saturn Memories?
@SaturnMemories8 жыл бұрын
***** SSF is the only accurate Saturn emulator at the moment. 0.12 beta R3 is the version you want. Vsync introduces some pretty bad input lag, so you may want to leave it off. You can use programs like NVIDIA Inspector to lock the framerate to 60 so you can disable auto field skip (frame limiter).
@TheSuperuser498 жыл бұрын
Mednafen has surpassed it now as far as playability and input lag. Only issue is its limited to NTSC format games
@SaturnMemories8 жыл бұрын
Commander_Riker Mednafen is an impressive first attempt at Saturn emulation, but you gotta be joking. Compatibility isn't nearly as high as with SSF. Sound emulation is promising, but you'll still experience a lot of interruptions in some games. Some games do have graphical glitches that don't show up in SSF. Mednafen is also locked into 320x240 resolution with bilinear filtering enabled. There's no way to change this in the config file. I dont think you can fake transparencies either.

I jusy got this game, but what buttons must be pressed to make him run? I became frustrated with stage 4 level 1 near the end because of the unfair enemy placement, where the circut boards move up and down. Any suggestions or tips and tricks will help me a great deal. Thanks.
@SaturnMemories8 жыл бұрын
Double tap the d-pad. Quickly press once in the direction you want to go, release, and then press and hold. It's a pretty standard way to run in a lot of old games. As for the part you're talking about, I have no idea. Level 4 takes place inside a grandfather clock. There are no circuit boards.
