Superb! “The difference now” is that no female singer these days can perform live on stage like this and actually IMPROVE on their vocals from the recording. So much kudos to lovely Clodagh Rodgers.

The difference is that in this day and age, the video, and thus the choreography is more important than the song. Which means that any Pop Princess can skank her way through the video, and the engineers will use all sorts of computer enhancements to make her sound good. Not only that, but it's been shown that when Pop Tarts like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Ariana Grande are doing all their flouncing around the stage, they are lip syncing. That's why, while I'm not really a huge Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift fan, I give them a lot of respect because they are musicians, not performers, and continue to actually sing while they are doing their dance moves. Lots of respect for Madonna because she did the same thing. Oh, did I offend all you Rhodes Scholars in Queen Bey's Hive by suggesting Beyonce is overrated? Tough s***....get over it.

Although I was just a young lad around the time of this video (not even in my teens), I always perked up on the rare occasions when I saw Clodagh Rodgers on the TV. She made an impression on me even then, and I've since appreciated her more as I've matured. A great performer and vocalist, and a joy to behold.

This was what a star looked and sounded like before the advent of pitch correction and autotune; when singing brilliantly and IN TUNE on live television was the norm; when flashy effects and hysterically screaming audiences were not de rigueur. It's sad that nowadays, Lady Gaga managing to get through a Sound of Music medley live (after months of special training) is considered an 'event'.

What a superb and fantastic performance. Clodagh was one of the top vocalists in the late 60’s and early 70’s. We need a box set of all of Clodagh’s albums on CD please and a new compilation - Clodagh ‘Gold’ 3 CD release. Please someone make this happen. We love you Clodagh x❤

Clodagh Rodgers was amazing and beautiful too. Fantastic voice. She made realise I was definitely straight at a young age. My first fantasy aged around 10-11. One of the most beautiful women of all time in my opinion. Very underrated too as a female singer. Superb song and well sung.
