There are those with low batteries in their smoke detectors and probably many more with dead or missing batteries..... You wonder why there are so many fatal fires that may not of been because of a frigging battery.
@throttlebottle5906
@throttlebottle5906 3 жыл бұрын
@@REWYRED if you replace the batteries, they'll steal them and put dead ones back in their place! (rental, leased, government funded, commercial buildings). you can provide them with a pack of batteries yearly and they'll NEVER install them, use them for other things or toss them in the corner/trash. yes I've worked for many "slumlords" in the past (early 1990's forward), right up to Mc.Mansion owners. been there, done that and tried everything in the book, nothing ever changes until disaster strikes! it's usually in the rental/lease agreements that the tenants are responsible for such simple cheap items. but it still doesn't matter, government assistance housing to multimillion dollar buildings, ALWAYS the same issues, CHIRP--CHIRP--CHIRP. alarms and safety equipment 100% neglected, until an disaster occurs, then they cry and the shysters jump on board and lawsuits fly. end result is many thousands of dollars wasted, insurance fraud(raised rates for honest folks). etc etc etc.

That poor owner has a big job ahead of them getting that basement cleaned and smelling better. Ugh!! Been there, done that. I have a basement that floods when it rains over 30mm (just over an inch). It takes about 6 hrs to pump it out, then about 3 weeks to get it all dried. Great job on getting him back on the road to having a working bathroom again.

Hi Dana 🙂 Isn't there the possibility to install a backflow protection ..? A liftingsystem or Backflow flap valve..A valve can also be available electrically supported.
@danachappell3861
@danachappell3861 3 жыл бұрын
@@kempingerrohrreinigungberlin Unfortunately, no. It comes up through the floor as I am only about 4 inches above the water table here. I live on an acre of swamp. lol I do have what we call cellar drains, but they get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of water that comes from the rain and the drain-off from about 200 acres of land behind my house. I don't have problems with the septic system, as it's an above-ground system. Rural living sometimes sucks, especially when you live on the downhill portion of a tall hill lol!!!

I need to have an backhoe or excavator come in and dig a ditch around my property, or at least 1/3 of it for sure. I'm not rich. lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This may have been answered on here already, but why are the caps not screwed off instead of broken off? Thanks!

When they sit for a long time rust kinda locks them in place and makes them very hard to turn.

I always see that you hammer out those caps... I'm assuming that they are pointless to try to spin out.... To much rust build up??

Pointless indeed. 98% of the time those old caps don't budge with a wrench due to the rust and time spent sitting untouched, so I don't even waist my time anymore!

@@adamluke1289 From pics at about 8 minutes, you can see they are standard threaded caps. Use of gas torch on the old caps would assist with breaking down any rust that is temporarily locking the threads. Use of heat is standard in engineering when dealing with tight threads.
