i tried this thing with the Power Base Converter, and to my surprise it actually works! maybe it is even possible to get rgb out of it. either the 50/60hz switch and the language switch on mine are broken, or they're just there for show, i've never got them to do anything sofar. but it works very well overall i think, a lot better than the licensed clones by Atgames/Blaze/HB depending on where you live, that Firecore based garbage is incredibly bad, weird sound pitch, slowdown and incompatibility issues seem to be inherent to this series of systems.

it even works with the Segascope 3D system.

Thanks for doing this review! I've been looking at the console on ebay, but was holding off, as I was unsure if it was a MDOAC- now I know, I'll pass. Those new boxed Megadrives from Thailand are looking mighty tempting, now...

I have been playing mine for a month or 2 now, I like it so much I got a spare and haven't had the real Megadrives out since! I teamed it up with the original V1 Mega Everdrive flash cart. It really is just like a real Megadrive and plays like the real thing with as long as you don't mind composite video and mono audio so a little step up from the original RF adaptor if that's what your used to. It has the advantage of 60Hz and master system too. Forget the stupid ATGames one this doesn't have bad sound like that clone. Only noticable difference is the top and bottom border colour remains black. If you glitch and crash a game it crashes like a real machine not like an emulator :D

This is that we really had in Russia. We also had a terrible clone of NES or Famicom called Dendy. Games were "great" - most of them were Japanese, copyrights were cut out, some games were copied unproperly, which made them impossible to complete.
@Zapp301211 жыл бұрын
I got one of those. It looks genuine. Has official Sega logos and the details of the Thai importer on it. I don't think it's a MDOAC. I can see inside via the expansion port, it's a full size board with at least 3 large ASIC's on it.
