my favorite thing about Friren in the scene where she remembers the fight with the blue dragon/lizard thing is Heiter was too sick to be used in the plan/couldn't participate...so she dead ass dragged him with her to basically sleep behind her so he could still be part of the plan edit: at 0:50 seconds, though its only for a frame, if you look to the left of her, you can see a very sick Heiter passed out next to her that she dragged with her

In the manga, he actually did fight the lizard (albeit hungover). It was kinda disappointing to see him sidelined.

oh come on now she's had plenty of rivals...she just outlived them all. that's the trick to Frieren: she _isn't_ some grand untouchable prodigy or anything of the sort she is basically just some lady who spends most of her time living as a wanderer with a side of adventurer, it's just that she has been an active "just some wanderer" for longer than basically anyone else to the point where even the wait between her time with little miss soul-mage and the The Hero's Party events is basically just her laying low for awhile to drop off the radar and getting pulled out of her cabin in the woods by a talent scout who happened to learn about her by accident.
