Clone Wars Obi is my #1 favorite black series fig. Its not necessarily a figure I was clamoring for either. He just might be the best craftsmanship of the line. He looks amazing. Articulation is on point and he’s sturdy AF. 💯 Certified banger.

My favorite figure in the whole line. I had no trouble finding the others in the group but Obi-Wan became the hardest figure I have sought out ever. My preorder was canceled, I would go to 5 local targets a day, constantly checking app. It was a mess.i had friends and family looking, I got scammed on a FB trade. Finally a friend in another state got one for me. I spent so much gas & time. But hot damn he is a fantastic figure. Some of how & why I like him is because he was a difficult find to purchase but sooo worth it. What I think everyone should note is.. the figure is so good. If Nate gets mesmerized playing with figure during the video it's a great figure. Fun video guys!

Yep same! I had no problem securing Anakin, Echo, and Hawk. But Obi required 3rd party assistance! I was going to every Target in the northwest area of my state. It was insane! Awesome that you were finally able to get it though. Thanks for checking it out! -Justin

110% agree he is a must have! These banger episodes usually lead to me picking up the figure off my shelf and reposing and admiring the figure. With so many figs in the collection its easy to not spend a few extra minutes on older figs that are amazing. Thanks for another Banger episode guys, and thanks for using my pictures! 🙏👍. Possible Banger episode recommendation would be Darth Malak. I dont have him in hand yet but soon and i already know he is a contended for a certified banger.

Hello Justin and Nate thanks for sharing your thoughts on this banger figure. I was unable to get Clone Wars Obi-Wan myself. In fact the only figure from this set I did get is Clone Pilot Hawk, seems he was the easiest to get for most of us. I never saw any of these figures in store and Hawk was the only one I could get from Target's website. I do hope these figures are rereleased eventually 🤞. I'm glad Walgreens Obi-Wan is supposed to get rereleased, looking forward to at least having him in my collection, and I did manage to get Clone Wars Mace Windu and I'm finally getting the Clone Wars Arc Trooper at a good price, a little under retail lucky me. I started collecting in 2021 and so I missed out on that Target wave. I eventually paid $40 for the Anakin and still want that Obi but it’s going for much more now. I might pull the trigger and pay that after market price on Obi soon.

Obi is definitely one of my favorites in the line. It's too bad he was an exclusive and in special packaging so you had to buy two in order to keep one in-box without destroying that retro packaging. That whole wave should have been in the recently announced rereleases so people who missed out can get them.

The way Hasbro does things, they will rerelease this figure again and you will probably be able to buy it on clearance, they just did an announcement of rereleasing older black series . You can buy all the black series on clearance within years end

By far and away the best Obi-Wan figure in the line and one of the best overall, it's literal perfection 😊😊 takes me right back to the hunt too, I drove hundreds of miles all over Michigan looking for this one, I remember a Target in Detroit told me on the phone they had it and I was just passing 12 mile when they called back and said it had just gone out the door 😅😅 ended up being a birthday gift that year and my wife has always refused to tell me how much she paid for it 😂😂😂

Thank Gonk for your reviews. I refrained from picking this one up due to the aftermarket price here in Europe, and also because I wanted to see what an eventual re-release might look like. Well, the re-release is here (Clones of the Republic 2-pack) and it looks worse than the Clone Wars packaging version in terms of the headsculpt. Managed to pick up this original release together with the Clone Wars Anakin from the same line today, together for $80, both MOC. Today is a good day :D

I belive the upper legs are rumored to have been sculpted for a clone wars Season 7 Echo figure which never was put into producion. The box art exists as well as the Helmet and Head sculpt I believe.

I didn't know these had been released until two weeks after they sold out. No announcement from Hasbro, no rumor report (at least not that I ever saw), they just appeared. I waited for several months hoping they'd restock (silly me), and eventually had to go the e-Bay route to pick up him and Anakin, because you're absolutely right; these are must-haves. A clone army (which I'm finally building thanks to AliExpress) is pointless without these two figures.

If you were following YakFace at the time these were definitely rumored/revealed. I remember the whole thing about them allegedly being in a Father's Day display or something like that. Luckily managed to snag these in the wild. Essential figures for sure! -Justin

That is a cool obi wan figure. I remember pre-ordering mine as soon as I got the chance, and when I got to the store it was literally the only one there was along with the anakin. AOTC obi wan is still my preferred obi-wan because I like the robed look more, I like the mullet and I just have a soft spot for aotc; a lot more than most of the Star Wars community for some reason. But clone wars obi wan is definitely a great figure. Another banger I would recommend would be Endor Han, it’s the closest to looking like Harrison goes, it has the classic vested look, it’s beautifully articulated and comes with a soft goods coat.

He’s a great one. No question about it. I actually find that target exclusives are pretty easy to get because each of them has their own specific Dpci numbers, whereas mainline figures at target are all lumped into One Dpci number. So once you get that number all you have to do is call stores and ask them to look up stock for that number. I did that for all of this wave and secured them all easily. I actually have an extra one of these in package in mint condition that I’m holding onto as trade collateral when needed. I’m thinking I may need to use it to try and get A trade for Fives since I missed that PO. We’ll see what happens

For me the DPCI system must've been messing up because there were some stores that said in-stock but then I go there and crickets. Nothing in the back or out on the floor. For us it was the most stress-inducing hunt of all time! I also witnessed someone grab the case of one of them and walk out of the store, lol. -Justin

@@OutOfTheBasement when I have a specific Dpci number for a specific figure that’s when I use the telephone and get confirmation of stock before I even leave the house. For this little clone wars wave, I had them hold a figure for me once they confirmed they had it. One of the most painless searches I’ve had. The Walmart clone wars wave was the complete opposite. I had to hit my closest Walmart twice a day for a month even tho popfindr was “working” back then and was saying they were getting the figures. I got them all in one visit finally right when they put the shipper on the floor, but it took a months worth of twice daily empty handed visits before that to get there.

A reasonable figure... 😅😅😅 Quite good. Now let me tell you what is an absolute banger and I got him today. Blue line box No. 2 Dark Vlader!!! I absolutely love him!! You 2 put me off him by calling him sad and puppy 🐶 dog eyes!!?? 😅😅 I must have a different version as he became my favourite Vader in seconds. Never had a split removable helmet before, and the head and neck articulation are brilliant for ten years old! You can also push the helmet down a little to slightly reduce the eye lens size. ❤ Cape chain is really cool and now I know why you are annoyed the new one hasn't got it. So happy I've got this now. Brilliant for its age, and to me, they now seem to be going backwards on every release since, seeing as I don't need huge articulation on him. He's also got the best left hand on any Vader as well.
