Even the psycho frame can't quite boost Char's intuition to that point of precision perception, which is why Amuro beat him in their final battle.

Gyunei seemed to have been the most balanced of first generation Cyber-Newtype. Gyunei's emulation of the Newtype status should be on par with Lalah Sune's development prior to her demise. Emulation most likely based on data gathered from the black box that probably survived the psycomuu guidance system retrieved from Lalah'd exploding Elmeth. If my hypothesis is correct, this means his "psycho waves" or "quantum brainwaves" all resonate in the same frequency as Lalah's did. That would partly explain why he was able to get the drop on Amuro as that sense of "familiarity" would have paralyzing effects of misdirecting Amuro's curiosity at first. Such resonance also explains Char and Gyunei's fascinstion with Quess Paraya who was lauded as being the second comming of Lalah Sune due to them both being inheritors of India's Yogi training programs to excavate the latent faculties of one's mind. Gyunei stated that he wanted to study Quess so that he could make the transition into a genuine Newtype. Transitioning in order to grow powerful enough to replace Char in her heart and in action as the more advanced Newtype. He didn't want to remain a synthetic proxy to the Newtype status but gain genuine awakening.

I consider that your hypothesis maybe correct. And I think that Gyumei might want to get Quess because he was in the Newtype lab and couldn’t gain true love. First, he attracted Quess as Newtype. But his mind changed , he loved Quess. Actually I just like to think so lol I’m Japanese, so my English may not able to tell you. Sorry.

Kamille Bidan is roughly the same level as Amuro but wasn't used in anything after CCA. I don't believe Gyunei would be used even if he survived.

@@linyenchin6773 When I was in elementary school, I wrote a spin-off novel about CCA. It tells the story of Amuro discovering Gyunei's abilities and persuading him to surrender. Char was besieged by Amuro and Gyunei in despair and then used his escape capsule to hit a meteorite to wreckage ends with heself. After that, Gyunei became the strongest NT after Amuro, and drove Odysseus Gundam to kill Hathaway in UC105.
