Right after you finished with mangroves, and you were just diving to take it all in, it was amazing to see the mangroves, a school of jacks, then a few permit up a little higher in the water column. Then on the next dive... boom African pompano... what an awesome time. It's nice to see you getting to play the part of the client for a change. 👍

When you reached the surface, I "reached the surface". Though from snorkeling, I know it's a whole lot different when you're in the water. The water pressure, the small movements, the expended energy at the surface treading water before you even go under all play into it. But as a novice I was proud to match you on the breath hold even if I WAS on the couch lol. My dad taught me when I was young how to mildly hyperventilate yourself before taking your breath to dive.
@KeyWestWaterman2 жыл бұрын

Next time try to make steaks out of it then put it in the oven or grill with salt, pepper, finely chopped fresh garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice. Fantastic episode Aaron!! Man those sharks came out of nowhere on that Mangrove Snapper, I thought she was a goner at one point but you pulled it from the mouth of the Taxman just in the nick of time!! I have to admit the limited diving I did as a kid was in the cold water off of Vancouver Island and the Sea of Cortez off of Guaymas. We saw schooling Hammerheads in the Sea of Cortez but nothing as riveting as a Bull Shark appearing out of thin water chasing down your catch!! I'm not sure I'd welcome the experience but I'd give it a go! Love the content, keep em coming, Sir!! It does my aging prairie boy heart good to see deep blue water!!

Wow, where to begin...insane spot, love to have that on my GPS. What a meat fest, I knew the surprise guest would be an AP, however I saw the permit go by at the end of pt.1. Appreciate how you demonstrate awareness and safety on the water constantly... I could think of 50 ways to do those tacos and sauce , but only 2 ways to use the wahoo or AP, seared or raw. You are so spot on about the quality of the AP, few get the chance to enjoy it and one of my all time favorites. Over cooking fish is a crime, perfect sear on those taco's and let nothing go to waste. The crewz in Hawaii turned me on to the racks, throats and head in the 90's... Closer to the Bone the sweeter the meat 🤙🏼 great job Capt
