I was in the same area and hit that save station right as the alien saw me. The next 30 mins was me trying to be fast enough to reach the elevator before the alien got to me. I failed ALOT lol I only had like 2 or 3 seconds to run and hit the button. I ended up getting it right as I was considering restarting from the previous checkpoint.

@@thermonuclear8335 I usually don't engage with people that appear too obtuse or unimaginative to get my meaning, but here goes. I'll assume you've played this because you're here. I've played this game well over 10 to 15 times at different levels. I've acquired all of the game achievements except going through the entire game without getting killed. One of those achievements includes not killing any crew members. However, each time I play, (Amanda) is attacked and many times murdered without provocation by various station dwellers. In most cases, I take considerable efforts to navigate around most areas without alerting detection of both people and the Alien. However, the designers have masterfully created some locations where the dwellers are so hostile and unrelenting that it requires that you use a distraction like a noisemaker to alert the Alien to arrive and dispatch those station members. So thanks for missing the point, but yeah, I get a certain amount of satisfaction when those a-holes that won't let me pass, and are hellbent on killing me are instead killed by the alien.

They're designed to annoy you so it's ok to feel a bit victorious when they get got by the alien after possibly hours of them killing you without a second thought. Personally i don't feel good about having to do it but i don't think it makes you a sociopath either for feeling relief after an obstacle in a game finally gets cleared.

This section is SO MUCH easier when you kill the three humans who are there when you very first arrive and then after the spacewalk, hide behind the boxes/crates until he goes back into the vents. You can practically just sneak your way out of there with no real issue at that point. At least from my personal experience. I'm not saying that it's 100% foolproof or anything.

Humans on this Station are A-holes! For me, I rather them be killed by the Alien or Androids! The Alien can’t be killed so I love seeing the fear in humans before they get killed! If the Androids kill them that great too!

One of the most amazing things about this game is the Alien AI. Its really well done. The only negative about this is the fact that the game cheats a little bit.

@@PhartingFeeting I know but the fact that the game knows your locations at all times is being used to nudge the Alien toward your direction. And the moment its in your general vicinity the director AI of the Alien takes over. Now i personally would love to see what happens when the first part is taken out of the equation. What if the game never nudges the Alien toward your direction and whether or not you encounter it is left up to random chance. This would create a more realistic experience because sevastopol station is massive. And while there is a hive of Aliens you're only facing a singular Alien within the majority of the game. And this would result in a truly unique experience for every player because either your RNG sucks and you encounter the Alien a lot of your never encounter him at all besides scripted events.

@@thehandlerofcomments That really depends on what you consider boring. I'd highly praise any game that can mimic realistisch situations trough gameplay. And not knowing whether or not you're going to encounter the xenomorph also adds a sense of suspension. The game already has that but that suspension comes more from the realization that you are going to encounter the xenomorph at certain points no matter what you do.

It's pretty clear. After Halo first trilogy, Alien Isolation is the best game of the last years. The amount of details, the sophisticated background and story, the incredible graphics and so on are turly keystones. There are no other games that can be legitimate called as interactive movies like these ones. Alien and Halo are the only two sci-fi brands that are making the history of this genre in the early XXI century. Why we still don't have a movie about Alien Isolation is for me a huge mystery.

If this is the part I think it is it was really well done. Spoilers a head for this that haven't played If I'm not mistaking this is where you had to contend with two aliens at the same time but the were usually far enough away from each other that even with the scanner it seemed like it was just one but close enough that the one seemed really fast and active alien.

people seem to crouch too much in this game thinking it will help. it only works when hiding behind something. stand up straight and run when you are seen whilst giving it some flamethrower to slow it down then hide when you get to a safe spot that the alien won't patrol non stop

Well this is nightmare mode and flamethrower fuel is used super fast and not very abundant. So I saved it all for the nests and I still barely had enough to make it through. There are sections where you can walk ahead of the alien and clear massive parts of levels.

Shane Brady it’s hard the first time through. I did medium then hard then nightmare. You’ll get to know what makes the game tick. Still nightmare wasn’t a cake walk as they limit parts for the tools and you need to save all flamer ammo for late in the game if possible not to mention if burns through fluid faster and the tracker doesn’t really work. But by then you’ll be a pro.

@@shanebrady7647 I'd recommend Hard on your first playthrough. It's relentless at times but teaches you how to cope under pressure.....to some degree haha. The Alien never stops being terrifying you just get better at choosing your moments.
