I've been playing TDM and a lot of players do the jump and prone move he is talking about. But after a while you get use to players doing that move and you just end up spraying them on the floor. So I recommend practice on TDM and you'll get practice on countering that move.

TDM is a good teacher in helping you get better in close range. And aside from using the prone move there's a pattern when standing and firing that could help you to dodge more bullet and maybe win the fight. You do the technique by moving left to right instead of just choosing one direction, this might not sound much because it only buys you about 0.4 second at best but it actually makes a whole lot of difference in close range, especially if you do them consecutively.
