Heard your cover for the first time right before rihannas tour in 2016. Back then I thought that it was the best cover of "close to you" and there isn't anyone who could do it better than you. And till this day my opinion hasn't changed. You have such a unique and passionate voice!

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Rihanna had better gift you this track for your solo debut because babygirl, you have outdone RiRi! The composition, the instrumentals, the vocals, those bars! A full serve. I feel genuinely lucky to have been alive during the existence of this track by Haben. The version on ANTI is sublime, but messssy! The naff midi strings sounding like they’re on some 1980s Casio keyboard, that random, jarring bit of Spanish acoustic guitar at the end? Rihanna, honey, you were done dirty with the instrumental, ANTI is undoubtedly the best Rihanna album ever, but Haben worked magic and then some. Rihanna, If you ever read this I am petition for Haben to have the rights to this musical gem enshrined in law. Please, do it for the gays. If you’re not going to release more music at least let Haben have this track and recognise her talent. Over and out.
