Moon Moon Sen is often brusque with people, her interviewers, and she doesn't like to talk about her famous mother. There may be multiple reasons for that. Considering herself a beautiful and educated woman, she thought she would excel in her career, whether it was films or academics. However, both didn't work for her and she failed completely. Secondly, the shadow of her illustrious mother let her remain in darkness. How could she enjoy that? Most of her interviews, I have seen so far, are just atrocious, in times even amusing. However, this interview is a remarkable exception. The interviewer Mrs Dasgupta helped Moon Moon Sen open up her mind, though she was conscious of her words. But, I felt it was pleasant. For the first time, I saw Moon Moon in a relaxed mood, not in her weird temperament. Thanks are due to Mrs Dasgupta.

My mother says exactly the same thing about her, .that she never seemed to have liked to talk about her mom.rather everytime she looked somewhat jealous and annoyed. However, being a Bangladeshi, plus a 90s' kid, I have not got many opportunities to watch or read any such interview of hers...in my case, I have seen the opposite. In every interview of hers, she speaks positively about her mom. However, what I observed further; not sure if it is right or wrong, riya-raima has a very little or no respect for Suchitra Sen's body of work. that's quite unfortunate! it seems, they would never know what a priceless jewel they had in their family at one point of time! I have always heard from Munmun's interviews, they shared a great bonding with their granny; bla bla bla. I don't know why everytime I could feel it was an utter lie! cause Riya keeps completely mum and gives a blank epxression whenever she's asked about her Granny, whereas Raima always comes up with a very shallow reply, like " I have not seen much of her work/ I don't see her movie that much/ , but I like the song from her movie Andhi" and shallow stuffs like that. hard to believe! but my personal opinion, though Munmun could not show her acting prowess much; in fact Munmun's acting was always noticeably poor; but my god, this women is like a Greek goddess to me!!!!!! :) I would even say she is waaaaaaaaay prettier than her mom! How can a person be so, soooo unimaginably beautiful!!! beauty runs in their gene!

And why Chaitali why didn't you allow us to listen properly while she was talking about the leopard and her mom? We are here to listen to Suchitra Sen's daughter not to you probably you forgot that. I would prefer seeing Moonmoon Sen's celebrity interviews than this Chaitali's. Overly cheesy clingy and annoying. Riya And Raima aren't very successful actresses. Raima is successful to some extend bcoz she got a director like Rituporno Ghosh in Bengal. But both are very short. And short actresses are not considered to be very successful as simple as that. As far as I know, her mother really was very liberal but she never liked her own workplace, the "film industry" and tried her best to keep Moonmoon Sen away from it. When she finally started doing films, Suchitra Sen was so so upset that for months she did not speak to her daughter.

এই Interview টি বেশ আগের বলে মনে হচ্ছে। চৈতালিদি খুব সুন্দর interview নেবার কাজ করেন। পরপর অনেকগুলি সুন্দর সুন্দর পুরোনো interview upload করেছেন, তার জন্য অনেক ধন্যবাদার্হ। আর জানাই তো সেই শুরুর দিনগুলো থেকে যে মুনমুন সেনের বাংলা anglicized বরাবর, আমরা বাঙালীরা তো এখন রাস্তায় ঘাটে পর্যন্ত অনেক এর উদাহরণ পাই এখন, শুধু anglicized নয় এখন hindicized বাংলা ও শুনতে হয় প্রায়শই, তার ব্যাপারে কি বলবেন বাঙালী শ্রোতারা? আর একটা কথা মানুষটি অত্যন্ত শিক্ষিত, ধারালো ও গুণী, তাঁর এটুকু না-পারা কে না-দেখা করতে পারার মতো উদারতা বাঙালীর আছে বলেই মনে হয়। মুনমুন সেন কে ব্যক্তিগত ভাবে না চিনলেও খুব সহজে বলা যায় যে সুচিত্রা সেন সত্যি খুব সুন্দর করে তার মেয়েটিকে বড়ো করেছেন, শত কাজের মধ্যেও। আবারো ধন্যবাদ এই ইন্টারভিউ এখানে দেবার জন্য।
