Closed-loop Optimization for High-fidelity Controlled-Z Gates in Superconducting Qubits

In this talk, Niklas Glaser presents recent results on optimizing gate pulses for 2-qubit gates in a closed-loop scheme which maximizes the fidelity measured by randomized benchmarking. This method has already proven successful in optimizing single-qubit gates, and here was shown to push the 2-qubit gate fidelity to close to 3 nines.
