That's because a couple of years ago we were flooded by piano covers and other (insert instrument here) covers. People got sick of it and got over it. The minute it became overly produced and edited the magic was gone.

I liked how the second verse the melody is in a higher range, much alike to the original when Halsey started singing and that is one of the essence and catch of the song. Amazing how this talented pianist kept the essence of the song and made it into a very beautiful piano piece
