Loved the video! I have a suggestion on the beautiful horse picture. Try framing it with a gold frame to make it look more like an oil painting and maybe it will blend a bit better with your current style. That is something I have been learning since I have faced that exact situation with somethings, I love but aren't really my style. Hope this helps!

All along I thought you were saying Robbie, then I saw his name on the wall. Those 3 little sailboats...just adorable. I love cleaning and decluttering closets. I'm sentimental and sometimes have a hard time letting go of things family has given me. But if I take a picture of it, it doesn't feel completly gone.

Valerie… I can hardly listen to what you are saying because I am so busy trying to read the titles of all your books behind you!! 😂🤣 I love love your videos and think it would be fun if you would do a video about which titles you like and recommend. I have about 1500 books in my house and they are like my friends….🤣 I was just curious if you are a fan of reading or not? I enjoy reading but with being a mom I mostly read Thomas the Tank Engine etc… 😭😏 Have a wonderful day!

Just an idea for that wall art. Put it somewhere by your laundry in the basement or in the garage. Somewhere where aesthetic maybe doesnt make such a big difference😜

Hi Valerie. We have a dress that all of us were christened in. It is over 100 years old and my mum keep it nice and white in a massive consol vase. I know that will not work for the wedding dress but i believe the vacuum seal bags will work

After 30 years of storing my wedding gown in muslin I researched having it professionally cleaned. I now store it in an archival garment bag from Foster Stephens. It hangs on an archival padded hanger also from FS. These bags have buttons, no zippers to rust. I know dresses can be boxed in acid free archival boxes as well. My research said the garment can weaken and deteriorate on the fold lines so the dress should be refolded periodically on different fold lines. A hanging bag was my best choice for my space.

Your closet reminds me of our baby closet from 17 years ago. Our oldest later moved into that room and packed the closet with old blankets. It was his hideout from his younger brothers. 🤣🤣

We’ve always had small wardrobes in our houses, it’s good in a way because you can always see what you have in there and keep on top of it and declutter 😊 Also love those little boats that you found in your chest !

I love your videos! Just a few comments from an older mom (36 with 4 little kids) - the baby carrier is for YOU. You are a girl and you are the one wearing it. So if you have another baby boy, stick him in the flower carrier. It’s yours. :) - the horse picture: we have pieces like this because we got married in 2011 and so we have items that are sentimental but not in fashion. I find ways to incorporate them and it just makes your home feel more eclectic and more real, rather than staged. If the style is a total eyesore, store it and then in a few years style will change and you may want it back on the wall.

I loved seeing your son jumping behind you having fun. HAHA. That IS very weird that you won something and were only allowed to choose girly ones. It still looks like it is neutral enough to wear it with a boy. The one I have has flowers on the inside but you can't tell on the outside (and I have three boys). Your closet pile made me gasp but I appreciate how you show it anyway. I have been looking into cordless vacuums and have yours on my Wishlist but can't afford it for quite some time. I'll just continue with what I have even though the cord is really short. One thing about gift bags. . .do you use them regularly? Could you keep them in a box and organize them to look better? IF you don't really use them at all or often, just choose the nicest ones that you know you'll use within the year. I used to keep bags too and realized I used maybe one a year and so I recycled them all and am so glad I did. Don't be afraid to get rid of things that aren't your style even if they seem significant in memory. You know the verse, you know the hearts of those who gifted it, so cherish the memory instead of keeping the clutter or item. The item will not be upset with you if you say goodbye to it.

To store your wedding dress it needs to be wrapped in acid free tissue paper then put in a box they make special wedding dress boxes. 🌸
