The inner child isn't all caught up in responsibilities and the things we as adults get distracted by. They know what we're perhaps missing in our awareness and it's safe to trust them. I just removed myself from a toxic pattern that tried to arise again. I high-fived my child-self and moving on. There's no one that knows when we feel unsafe like my inner child. There's no one that can alert me faster to abuse happening. I've never thought about it as not having to have the inner child's trust. Thank you.

Yes! This is exactly what I've been doing. Trying to help heal and honor the inner child. I've been reconnecting and trying to love myself the way I always deserved, taking time to give myself the things I didn't have, making myself comfortable by safely revisiting things and remembering that innocence. I've been trying to nurture and reconnect and its been emotional but beautiful. So many beautiful memories are returning and I'm happier than I've been in a long time, despite the world around me being chaos a lot of times. Yes, exactly. I did a fashion study course when I was in my 20's, showed my work to my mum, after this I never touched it again, guess her judgment on my work wasn't great. Now when I have gone no contact with her 30 years later, I am starting a new course, picking up where I left off. So much grief and sadness seeing how I hid my talents not to upset others who did not appreciate my talents or wanting me to show my talents. That have been the hardest thing to come to terms with. Wish women would not compete with their daughters or try and be 'better'. There is no them or us or 'better' than. Wish we could just build each other up instead. What a world that would be. x

Going through the hardest situation of my life at present, been feeling exactly the way spirit described...maze, not sure what is the truth and who is telling it. Also, inner child, have been focused on her a great deal lately. She experienced much pain and sorrow...severe boundary violations on many levels.
