Absolutely awesome close in job on the open sided shed. Definitely far more useful than it was. I do wonder why Andrew didn't use ICF construction so it would behave a high R insulation factor so he could heat it in wibter and cool it in summer when he's working on vehicles on the lift and other projects. It's also impervious to various forms of degradation. Wood is not and has very little R factor insulation. No mat, they did an awesome job closing it in.
@SoleEpiphanyАй бұрын
No trouble knowing that truck wasn’t owned by the driver, what a mug🙄🤣
@LisaMedeiros-tr2lzАй бұрын
@@pinwizz69 Unless ICF went all the way up, that is a large building to insulate. The roof is uninsulated. The right way would have been to put in radiant heat in the floor, but the first section was done long ago. That is a very large space to heat. If he wants to work on a machine in the winter and be warm, he has a big heated bay in the castle. The only thing lacking is the lift for cars and trucks is in the outside garage. He could get one of those rolling lifts for the castle bay though if he wanted to cover that base for far less than insulating and heating the workshop. A shop like that would take forever to go from cold to heated as large as it is, so it would need to be at least partially heated all winter. Probably not worth it.

For your new castle, please consider pumping the concrete up from the bottom. I built pump trucks for Schwing for many years. We invented this technique. The form bracing is a little more intense but it is worth it. You can pump all the walls in one day. Plus they will be stronger. The ram action of the pump eliminates the need for vibration and the top almost finishes itself. Please also do the math on renting a 14 or 20 yard batch plant. You could use your own shale chips for aggregate. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great content. I have learned so much and always entertained!

I just realized that there are no ads. How does he monetize his channel?
@ronaldlee2376Ай бұрын
He sells monogram seat shirts, etc., he makes money on number of comments listed & from time to time he will sell old bits & pieces off machinery, with his last name wlded onto it. Very gifted man. @@matthewjohnston1400should be sweat shirts.

Hi Andy, just a little tip about hydraulic lines. When I would take lines apart, I had some of the old telephone wires that were all different colors and would put matching wires for all the connections, so reassembly was a no brainer. That little trick is so helpful when doing multiple line removal. Anyway, the work you do is great, and your self motivation is really fantastic. Keep up the great videos, Thanks . I've been following for ages. You always share great videos. Sometimes it is a chore to watch other youtubers 10min video, but you share an odyssey and it is awesome. Nice to see your father. It is indeed a big garage. Lol!

At the end there, I noticed the Tonka trucks up there. That your dad probably bought you when you were younger. Now he’s relaxin, helping you putting away your new tools….. Nothing better than that!

Love the long video Andrew. I saved it for the long commute home from Easter holiday travels. Perfect timing and such a great way to catch up on all the hard work on the shed. It is beautiful, built well and should last a very long time. Quality stuff and thanks for sharing!! God Bless and Happy Easter.

I do not know what is more important, watching this or sleep for my Calc 3 exam after spending 2 days (over 20 hours) doing homework and not understanding nearly any of it... I think this is good...

The exam is more important. This video will still be here waiting for you when you’ve done the exam.

I’m late to the party but I agree with the other commentor, as someone who struggled with procrastination in college you’re better off prioritizing the work. When future-you has a decent-paying career you’ll enjoy these videos that much more

I finally got my PhD after long procrastination. I always regretted that I didn't study more at the time. I'm 82 now, had a successful career in science, so it is no longer of importance to me, but like others have said here, the video will be there after exams, etc. Good luck on Calc 3, I'm impressed that you are doing it!

Got back after exam... did not go well... was caused by a separate issue... word of wisdom: don't take calc 3, statics and physics all in 1 semester... Construction Engineering and Managment... it's a weird program I'll tell you

@@BruceBoschekThank you, I do eventually want to aim for my PhD too in time as I love learning... I just got to get there slowly but surely... and this semester has been anything but slow, ha ha.

There is a throwback culture in upstate NY. I remember driving from NJ to a little town North of Syracuse in 1986 and thinking it was like the 1940's still up there. Now it's probably a bit like the 1980's. hehe.
