This was immediately helpful! We’ve been cloth diapering our firstborn since he was about 6 weeks, he’s now 46 weeks! I think we’re having wicking or over saturated diapers. It’s only overnight leaks. I may look into boosters. Thank you!

Recently had my new baby and this video helped out alot! I am doing disposables right now because this is my first baby but i would like to try them out around 3 months or so. I found 2nd hand pocket cloth diapers online and was given a bunch of bamboo/cotton liners with the bundle.

Hello! I have been educating myself for weeks! Will be cloth diapering my fully breastfeed 6mo old boy soon. Will be going to solids and was wondering how you feel about disposable liners and reusable stay dry liners? Right now I’ve decided on using GM Cloth-Eez Muslim flats on top and Thirsties hemp on bottom to stuff in pocket during the day. As far as night yet was thinking of throwing a stay dry fleece insert from Esembly directly against babies skin with my pockets, unless you have other suggestions :) I know I’ll be doing trial and error of course. I also purchased an AIO lighthouse kids Supreme to try for night/day and a Diaper Rite AIO to try as well.

Stay dry liners might help if baby happens to be sensitive to wetness, but they are not going to save you any trouble in the poo dept, if you ask me. I never really liked disposable liners either because they became an extra step to throw them out since they are in fact, not actual meant to be flushed.

Doesn't your pocket diaper already have the stay dry lining built-in. You wouldn't need a stay try liner unless there was going to be natural fibers against the baby's skin. Like with some all in ones or flats, prefolds etc..

@@catherinehasselbring4468 One of my pockets no, the Lighthouse yes and it’s awesome! My questions seem a little crazy bc I’m new to this and the diapers didn’t come until yesterday haha. I realized so much once they came.

@@lainaslife6351 I can see that, plus an extra expense. One last question. My diapers came in and after I prepped I tried the Lighthouse co. Fitting the diaper is harder than I thought. Do you have a link to getting a good fit or what to look for with these diapers or one size diapers in general. It seems a little bulky, plus I wasn’t sure as to how much coverage the insert needed. I felt horrible when I realized I obviously had the leg too tight which I didn’t think it was. I took the diaper off and it had cut into his skin a little. I just need to see someone do a demo on a boy. I tried stuffing a pocket for practice to see how that would look on him and I wanted to make sure the fit was right. Not sure about how much room needs to be in the back or on his legs. Confused about where the rise setting should be 😬. Despite watching tons of videos lol it was definitely different once I tried it myself. Thanks for the response by the way! ❤️

Ok question for you, I’m still trying to figure out a “perfect” night time diaper for my 18 month old who is a heavy wetter + he sleeps on average between 14-15 hours a night. Is it possible to get leaks from overstuffing? I’ve been trying a couple options to see what works and he wears a double gusset cover for night. I have (1) LHK book folds with a 4-layer bamboo insert inside and a disposable overnight pad underneath all of that. I don’t see any gaps anywhere and he tends to have leaks around the bottom sides so idk if I’m making the diaper too tight etc.

If you want to message me on Instagram @lainamarie91 we can talk more about it. Is the diaper totally saturated when they wake up and have a leak?
