You are right. I faced smell issue when baby urinate initially. But I found out that the issue was detergent build up. After the hot water rinse, the problem solved. Also please use small amount of detergent only as they recommend. Large amount causes build ups. After my delivery, my care taker was taking care of the diaper’s wash routine. She used lot of detergent. When i started washing the diapers, I always make sure i use only adequate amount of powder detergent, and that helped me a lot.
