Since I filmed this, we needed more diapers in our stash so I snagged 8 more of the BabyGoal diapers and one AlvaBaby. Our youngest was born May 12, 2021 and I was 37 years young! She was healthy and perfect but she passed away in her sleep at 10 weeks old July 22, 2021. 💔🙏🏽

I've missed you! I'm failing with my diapers😣😣😣😣 I made my cloth diapers with my last baby and everything went great, boy. But this time It's not working at all. I had a little girl 7 months ago and all my diapers leak. I think it's because she is a gurl and pee dribbles who knows! I just feel like using disposables 😣😣😣😣😣 I make pockets mostly. First of all, no worries if it doesn’t work out. Also, no mama guilt allowed! I would try the Econobum covers (just one) and maybe a Sherpa liner with whatever you’re using (a couple flour sack towels or whatever). The covers are on sale right now for around $7.77 and then a single liner can be bought or one of the full Sherpa ones like we use. It takes trial and error for us I’ve noticed haha. We almost gave up when Zephyr was leaking through everything. We have homeschooling vids coming. I’ve had a LOT of technical difficulties trying to get videos edited and up onto KZbin, BUT also check out the blog (linked above) for homeschool things.

Thanks for posting this video, I was waiting in anticipation for it! It’s so helpful! I do have 2 questions. 1. What did you use for the newborn stage? Did you use a flat diaper pad folded in a cover, or a different set up? 2. You said you don’t use a diaper sprayer. How do you get the diapers and liners clean before washing them?

In my newborn video I show what we bought for Zephyr when he was a newborn but I’ll be doing an update showing what we are using for baby Ocean. There’s a glimpse of what we use for newborn in this video. Solid poop gets tossed in the toilet or we use a biodegradable “doggy bag” for it. If it’s loose stool we toss the whole thing in the wash and everything always comes out perfectly clean! I don’t pre-soak or pre wash before tossing them in the pail. I don’t have time for that. Lol

So I’m curious how the muslin flats clean up with dirty diapers. I’ve used some fabrics with a looser weave and stuff sticks to it so bad and it’s harder to get out. Which makes me want to quit because that’s the worse part! I’d love to try the muslin because it’s my fav fabric for blankets, clothes, quilts, etc but I worry it’ll be nasty. I do use fleece liners some too tho.

Fleece liners! Though before I cut them up they still came clean easily. No issues. The fleece liners do make it much easier to keep the muslin looking fresh!

Very interesting, thanks :-) I have a 3yo still in disposables but want to try cloth, it's too late to spend a lot so I'm looking at flats, pins and Gerber style pull on pants. Have you any idea if traditionally pinned flats are ok on a big toddler ?

I'm all about some thirsties size 2 duos this time around for #3. Hated them with my first 2 kiddos. I'm gonna have to look into these sherpa diapers though. 🤔

One size! The large are great for long naps though. I think they could be used overnight with something like a Sherpa liner or other insert.
