Hey everybodyyyy! We are trying a new thrift spot Clothes Mentor. Do you guys have one near you or have you been? These types of places are always hit or miss. We are here for the first time and ummmmm well…watch to see our thoughts on it!

It great when you find a quality sandal that have real leather components and fill in a space that needed in your closets and a thick sole shoe is a must if you are height challenged because a lot of my summer bottoms hem lines drag if I am not wearing high heels and platforms help. I really like the sleeves of that black top that Tee tried on and really wish you had gotten it because that had all season usage by itself or a layering piece. That skirt was really beautiful, but I guess it did not make the cut. I very rarely go to secondhand shops because of the price factor but when I do, I really focus on their clearance racks or designer accessories that I would not find while thrifting at my local Goodwill. It great that you share on your mind thought on dealing with your natural hair because sometimes you just need a fresh start to deal with hair issues and get ahead of things. You have a great head for Carmen Jones' vibe sass of short haircut, you carry it well. I am going through some thrifted clothing to get it logged on spreadsheets and decide what keeping and what going to be sold. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.

Clothes Mentor is my go-to for designer bags. I also like that you can take clothes there and they will buy it from you.

The designer bags are fabulous! Our store had so many in great condition and at great prices. I know where I’m buying my next Coach bag lol!

Heyyyyy! We would say 👍🏽. It was a breath of fresh air trying out a new spot but yeah the price point was higher than what we are used to lol. But they had some really nice pieces in great condition. Definitely want to go again on sale day!

Exactly! I’m tired of fighting with my natural hair lol. I’m done dealing with it. The longer it gets, the more unruly it gets…so bye bye hair! I have had really short hair in the past so this is nothing new to me lol.

We have several in Texas. Hit or Miss. The prices aren't bad but if you sell to them your items aren't worth much or they won't accept them.

We only have this one in CT and yes the price point is higher but everything was in excellent condition. These consignment shops are getting ridiculous with the items they accept/do not accept.

Thanks girl! Yes ma’am I’m rockin it! Hair does not define me. I shaved it and I love it. It has grown in a bit now but I’m going to keep it short and sweet. I was tired of fighting with my natural hair in its longer state lol. The key is you gotta own it and be confident!

Appreciate that! Many women suffer from alopecia and I’m not ashamed to admit that I am one of them. It’s something I just have to live with and deal with and I just work with what I got!

@NataliaArtist thanks for sharing :-). So far my alopecia is manageable and it hasn’t got worse. I am pretty good at camouflaging it the way I style my hair. But if it ever did spread or get worse, I would probably have to consider other options.

I think I may have mentioned Clothes Mentor. This a great store and they do have all kinds of sales and discounts. Also you get discounts sent to you if you download their app and when you purchase they add your points with your phone number. I think that’s how it works. I don’t go often bc it a far drive from where I live. They also great merchandise.

This is an awesome store! Yes they have a higher price point but all of the clothes were in great condition and hardly any fast fashion. We saw a lot of grown woman brands lol and we loved that. I definitely signed up for the rewards points and I get emailed special sales and discounts. There is only one in CT and about a 30 min drive from us. Not too bad.

Haha we get it! We are the same way! The only things we will pay $20 and over is for real leather shoes/boots and leather jackets and they gotta be in like new condition.

Clothes Mentor is the grown folks Platos Closet (Same company)...they have Play it Again Sports and a children's branch as well. There are a few in Georgia. I hit them up at least twice a year. I won't sell anything tho😂. The maxi dresses and jumpsuits are great if you're looking for plus size perfection. As always, y'all look great.

Yesss we were pleasantly surprised! The clothes were in excellent condition. Hardly any fast fashion. A nice selection and plentiful sizes. A nice chill atmosphere. And designer bags on the cheap! They do have a higher price point but still affordable. I know where I will be buying my next Coach bag lol.
