At present, In Development - Java, Python are having strong hold. In Infrastructure scripting - Python/Ansible, Terraform, Go-lang are having demand. If you want to work in application Management, Digital Publishing Software/PLM/ERP are good choices.

You should first understand the OS and networking concepts first. I would recommend learn Linux and networking first. Then start learning AWS.

Cloud Computing has two different areas - one is cloud computing infrastructure and second is cloud application development. The later will require programming skills whereas the former does not fully (but require shell scripting / Ruby / Ansible Scripting knowledge)

Your Degree is not a constraint. Have you ever worked on Linux / Windows Administration? If So, Cloud Computing and Automation using tools will be very useful. Otherwise I would recommend to start with Linux.
