I've been learning the cloud since Mid November '23. I took my AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam of January of this year and scored a 642 missing it by 58 point I will be trying again soon.

Hi Soleyman. Thank you for this extensive video that informs about the difference between a cloud engineer and a cloud architect. I am studying for my first AWS certification which is going to be the Solutions Achitect Associate. I have already been dabbling with IT for a long time but it was on a personal basis and not official work. I was once even CCNA, Oracle DBA Associate, and Oracle PL/SQL Developer certified which I achieved through self study and experimentation. I personally think that I would enjoy the cloud engineer role because I do love working with computers and seeing the final product running as it should. I don't see myself having meetings after meetings with people and not getting my hand dirty with code or configuration on a daily basis.

It basically depend upon the requirement which cloud you choose but in this video he recommended AWS over AZURE because aws have more services than azure and widely used cloud platform in the world over azure , he is also familiar with Aws so he chooses .

@@techwithsoleyman But their roles are very similar. I'm saying so because I am PMP certified (Project Manager Professional) and I am busy with my SAA, I have my CCP already. And from what I understand, the role of a PM is to be a coach among the team bringing the vision to life. The same like a Cloud Architect who engages with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the project's/business goal's vision is alive.

Cloud Engineer is hands on and building deploying infrastructure. A lot of IaaC deployments. Cloud Architect helps with building the overall architecture around best practices for Cloud, and allowing the engineers to deploy.
