Your edits always inspire me so much and inspire so much dialogue in my head. You capture Cloud's fear and anguish in such a heart wrenching narrative, following his mental decline... Your talent for storytelling shines in these kinds of edits, matching up dialogue and scenes to show us just how much Cloud is suffering. It is EVERYTHING to me, and ending on the scene of him falling to his knees after showing scene after scene of him being manipulated to harm and help Sephiroth? A masterpiece. I adore exploring Cloud's mental state and this is EVERYTHING. Amazing, absolutely amazing

This is such a great analysis and storytelling of Cloud gradually declining mentally, highlighting Cloud's story and development in FF7 Rebirth. They've done such a good job with Cloud in this game, with the way they show his struggle, his uncertainty, his vulnerability, the layers of his shell shattering bit by bit.. Truly a piece of art. Watching this have me excited for what's next in the story, especially with how Cloud is going to deal with the truth of everything. With the way they're building it up in Rebirth, I have no doubts that its gonna be absolutely heartbreaking. Final Fantasy games are fantastic, but the remake trilogy takes this to the next level retelling a story that's already a masterpiece. I can't wait for the conclusion of this journey.

I would love to see a Yuffie edit too! I feel just bc her character looks so happy go lucky people forget she is just a girl who went through a lot! (but I guess we don't have many content for yuffie now, hopefully in the third part)

Cloud is one of my all-time favorite characters. I never got to play the original game, but I watched gameplay even before starting the remake. His story is one that shook me to my core, there are so many elements that just hit me right in the chest. Your work is just amazing, too *wonderful* for me not to share on social medias and add this video to my favorites. I wouldn't lie if I told you I *cried* watching this. I am loss at words, this is just a *masterpiece.* Thank you for making this.

One thing I have to commend _Final Fantasy VII_ for is Cloud Strife. But _Rebirth_ took everything I liked about Cloud and deepened it. Cloud is an _extremely_ complicated character. In many ways, he's very similar to Sephiroth. But the most important difference between them is that Cloud has friends and Sephiroth does not. Tifa is the one person keeping Cloud centered. Whether it's just to put a hand on his shoulder, plead with him to stop, or listen to him, she's the one who always brings him back. But Chapter 13 did something great. It made Cloud legitimately terrifying. The whole chapter he's just... off. Like as much as we like Cloud, we as players don't even know if we can trust him. His most bone-chilling scene in this chapter (to me) is when Reno, Rude, and Elena are all pinned under some rubble and he doesn't even hesitate to try to kill them. It's only because of Tifa physically restraining him that Elena even survives.

To add, Sephiroth did have friends, but one was lost to his own inability to claim being human that he forced Zack to kill him, and the other, lost himself to a bitter insanity and ultimately voiced that Sephiroth was a monster, too. Between losing his two friends, one to death and one to insanity, learning he was a science experiment, believe the lies Hojo left for him and the, likely, silken voice of Jenova in his head, while being told by one of the few people he was close to that he was inhuman, he shattered and, as you pointed out, nobody was close enough to ground him and help him through it. So, he fell, fully embracing it, possibly because it was the easiest path to take. He is completely fixated on Cloud, and I wonder if he sees the similarities as well in some way, as he told Cloud to burn his world to the ground as he did, and he said that he would not end, nor allow Cloud to end. It is also interesting to see how strong his fixation is, as there is little possibility that this isn't post FFVII AC Sephiroth, between his conversation with Cloud at the end of Remake, to Cloud at one point grabbing the arm that had been infected with geostigma while Sephiroth was affecting him, how much more attention he pays Cloud than the original, and so on. So I am curious to see if Sephiroth makes some different moves in the next installment to try to change history more heavy handily, and whether or not we'll see Genesis appear. Kind of curious what is going on with him after DOC, honestly, and if he'd have any remorse for causing Angeal's death and having a hand in Sephiroth's insanity. But as someone else pointed out, when Cloud has a realization of reality of not being a SOLDIER, being an experiment, and just the general horribleness that is his life, it is going to be heartbreaking to see him fully shatter. We saw bits of it in Rebirth, but we haven't even gotten to the Crater and him begging for a number before he takes the lifestream express to Mideel. They have done a great job with him so far, so I'm confident that they will continue with that in the next installment. The writers have, as you said, deepened his character.

I don't know if anyone pointed this out to you, but in those scenes he doesn't use his sword normally, he wields it the same way Sephiroth does

This may just be the best edit of Cloud Stife their is. You did a great job in capturing the character and showing what makes him so likeable and relatable. Keep it up.

I agree, and I'm new to Final Fantasy, but I've been seeing a lot say the remakes, apparently. I don't necessarily believe them, but all I know is that I love the story the remakes tell so far.

The scene you used for the beginning is so good and underrated wish people talked about it more, its one of the best scenes in the trilogy so far and Cody’s voice acting was perfect also this is a perfect edit for cloud deserves way more views

idk if you take song requests/recommendations for edits, but the line by twenty one pilots would make a banger edit in your editing style :3 specifically the game awards live one bc the scream in it is fantastic
