Fun Fact about A.B.A., she originally appeared in the spin-off game Guilty Gear Isuka and got ported to XX. Her theme in Isuka was Quicksilver and in XX it was Keep In Gates, both composed by Masaomi Kikuchi. Strive makes it the first time her theme was done by Ishiwatari himself

And even wilder then that, she wasn't even DESIGNED by Daisuke himself...instead she was the baby and the first real character design of legendary fighting game god Mori Toshimichi...the man who would make Blaze blue. Its why Aba seems so different and the line 'quirky note' hits so hard. She really is a 'quirky note' in that she is Mori Toshimichi's baby first and foremost. A 'blazblue character before blaze blue'. Given how the lyrics are and how Mori famously left Arc Systems Works after the failure of a blaze blue mobile game...I want to imagine this song is Daiske wishing Mori love and respect given they grew up together and famously got into gamedev because of their love a unnamed-to-this-day girl in college.

A.B.A feels like if I (and maybe other people with OCD can relate to this) was just to let every intrusive thought manifest. In my experience with therapy, you’re told to let a discomforting thought, like not holding the door open for someone, happen and to brave your anxiety. It’s meant to show you that even if that distressing thought occurred, you’ll be ok. So, something about A.B.A being ok, being motivated to make a difference, really resonates with me. its not really about neets specifically, like half of the soundtrack is about the whole cast feeling like a bunch of misfits and trying to find their place in the world. The entire theme of the game is characters striving towards something, whether to leave a path for others to follow, to build a better life for themselves, or to just make a difference. Plenty of people from all walks of life will find a way for this message to apply to them, the reason it works so well is the music explores the same general topic from many perspectives.

Fun example, Sol Badguy, our main series protagonist, is actually named Frederick Bulsara. Sol Badguy was an alias he gave himself after becoming a Gear, referencing the title he had been branded with “The Corrupted Sun”. Frederick Bulsara is a reference to Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the rock band Queen, which is Daisuke’s favorite band. Freddie Mercury was a stage name, his birth name was Farrokh Bulsara, so Daisuke merged his birth name and stage name into one for Sol. In fact there’s Queen musical references all throughout the Strive Soundtrack. Drift, Happy Chaos’s theme, literally has a break in it that sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody.

I really like this song, I like the distinction between more standard common virtues and the more traditionally negative ones claimed by the singer (presumably A.B.A and/or Paracelsus), which as time goes on both seem to come together towards the end with love becoming a maze as well. This song is both hope for one's ability to change and find connections to others, as well as a denial of conventional understandings of what one should be, and I think it's quite interesting. Even the commonly mentioned "blah-blah-blah"s are fun as they initially seem to be the incomprehensible expectations enforced on people, but towards the end as the singer and their companion join together they instead "shout" and form their own expectations for themselves. In that sense this song is not a rejection of boundaries, but instead a declaration of working together to create ones that actually relate to the subjects, and function on behalf of the involved parties

@@addison_v_ertisement1678Okay, i've seen you do nothing but complain in everyone's fucking comments. Besides, it's actually a bit smarter than that due to all of the allusions to keys and freedom. "I'm not here to fit in this world" is a double entendre for a key that can't fit in a lock correctly. The song is full of these.

This song is so incredibly written for something that just plays in the background of a fighting game. I love how this song is basically her justifying her insanity and in the process “making” us just as insane as she is. The song literally throws the dictionary out the window and says that what it said is irrelevant because all that matters is that you think you’re making a difference in the world, and whatever that difference is, is just a note in a symphony, and variation in what those differences are is what makes life beautiful.

What I take from this song is... A.B.A is without a shadow of a doubt, completely and totally with no chance, desire or recognition... for being fixed................. good. "I am no here to fit in this world" the... sincerity of this statement is refreshing and inspiring in a way, don't know if A.B.A was ever "normal" in any point of her life, but if the GGST theme songs are the characters most deep and honest opinions and feelings... A.B.A has no desire to be "normal", she is perfectly and sincerily happy being herself. But at the same time... the rest of the song "hints" at a much bigger desire inside her, a desire to influence and affect the "world" around her.

This is quite possibly the closest to perfect a character theme can get in Strive. It is genuinely almost perfect. The entire track is the perfect balance of emotion, intensity and need I mention the ending? I don’t think you could make a more perfect ending to a song if you tried. I don’t think the devs will ever be able to top this.

@@tgdevourerActually Clouddrop gets the lyrics wrong more often (for the DLCs). The S1 vids were made before official lyrics released, and we don't have official lyrics for most of the S2 and S3 songs. @TheActualMrLink8 ай бұрын
@@preceptorseluvis5704 admittedly, most all of my knowledge of alchemy comes from watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. A.B.A herself is a homunculus, a being created artificially through alchemy. The name “Hohenheim” is written on one of her sleeves, referencing a major figure in the history of alchemy. Furthermore, Paracelsus is the name of a French alchemist from the early 1500’s.
