Yeah, the GMT function is a little bit of an annoying quirk, but a Diver's solar GMT for under 4 bills sounds great to me.

if you travel a lot of timezones, you are usually on an airplane. You can change the hour without affecting the minutes and the seconds. Even if you go forward one day, it takes less to set the date again, by moving it 30 days ahead, than to set a regular watch that you need to synchronize the seconds again. So this actually is pretty easy to set. There are other criticisms to this watch. I had the one with the white 24 hour chapter ring. The dark red GMT pointer was not very visible. So I sold it, I got this one. But the models with the white chapter ring are more legible at a glance. The round cyclops magnifier under the glass is not very useful, and the roundness is a bit off. Also it could be thinner. I am on the fence on this one. sapphire, titanium, it is very light weight. Easy to set. Great bezel action, ISO 200m diver. Maybe looks great on the mustard yellow single pass strap. If it had no magnifier, and the chapter ring with the 24 hour markers was a light grey, probably it would be great.

Any office GMT is a pain in the ass to change as well. With this watch, you just need to set the time and change the date pretty simple. For the function that you are looking for, a true GMT - traveler you’re looking at at least 1000 bucks something like the Mido Ocean Star GMT

I have had this watch for a year, not perfect but still my favorite travel watch.

Had this watch in the blue and white variant. Loved it, but returned it twice and probably will never buy again. The first one, when you pull the crown out the entire movement and face of the watch moved and shifted. The second one was DOA. Citizen gets a lot right, but this seems like someone's homework they forgot to finish. Thanks for the review.

I am looking for the same thing as you: A GMT with a elapsed-time bezel. Now to be honest, I could make do with either an office OR a traveller's GMT, but the selection under $3000 is actually quite limited. (The candidates I've found include: Sinn Model 857SUTC, Seiko SPB-family, Seiko SFK-family, and the Longines Hydroconquest. Outside my budget but beautiful watch is the Omega Planet Ocean 600M.) If you have other recommendations, I'll come back and check this comment in a while. Nice video!

Mido ocean star may be a good one. But it's a bit large. 45mm I think

I only review watches that I own. I don't know that particular watch.

maybe you're not supposed to change the time all the time and are using it wrong? gmt is for gmt not 2nd time zone. you do + - hours with it.
