I've been getting a lot of comments from people saying that Mr. Marcelo IS Curren$y's brother. In this video, I said that he wasn't because Curren$y HIMSELF in an interview said he wasn't his blood brother. He says this at the 1:15 mark of this interview. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qILFhqqpg8mZq8U

I mean he's an OG who's been affiliated with some of the biggest OGs in new Orleans. He never claimed to be a tough guy but he's always been around some real dudes in the streets. I remember hearing She's on my Mind and thinking he was funny, and giving the mixtape a listen and being kinda shocked that he was a background guy for so long with his talent. 2008 was a good year, I had just graduated high school and I remember getting high and listening to Curren$y a lot with all the new music he had coming out. Smoky Robinson Mixtape (2010) was a classic. Not gonna lie, I heard of Curren$y when he was in no limit and cash money but I wasn’t a fan until “life under the scope”; being from Louisiana we usually would always hear about most local /state rappers before they blow up, but to me at the time, his sound wasn’t what I was used to. His “where the cash at” verse back then was ok but now how I see it today, I consider it classic. I say that to say, it took me to move to the east coast to appreciate his music. I wanted the southern sound, bling etc, but my NYC friends wanted lyrics and substance. When I started to appreciate his lyrics I been a fan ever since. Crazy I was a in HS when Curren$y was with no limit. Took me 8 years after he cam out to bump his music.

Disappointing that you skipped over drive in theater and new jet city. It makes sense because you started late listening to him

Grat video but I didn't hear mentioning his Cigarette Boats mixtape with Harry Fraud. Definitely one of his best bodies of work. And I think you should highlighted his work with this producer more because they have made a lot of amazing music together.
