I just realized in the KH1 art Sora is facing almost forward, in the KH2 art he's facing to the side, and in the KH3 art he's facing completely away from the viewer. Cool progression! (and a hint at KH3) Reminds me of the way the sky gradually changes colors if you put the covers of 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 side by side.

@@zeroexe592 I like to think it symbolizes the phases of his journey we've witnessed up to this point. in KH1's art his journey's only beginning, he can still touch the beach behind him, but he's looking out across the ocean longing for the freedom of exploring it. KH2 is perhaps the most ambiguous, but I think it symbolizes Sora's realization that his journey is going to be much bigger and more important than anything he had anticipated when he was staring out on the beach. He's got ice cream in his mouth, but he isn't actively eating it, his hands are at his side, so I think that implicates a moment of deep thought. The beach is no longer visible here, his journey is officially underway, and he's starting to think that he might have a long way ahead of him. I really like KH3's art because it directly follows this up. He's depicted staring at a partially eaten paopu fruit, reflecting on his past and the friendship's he's made up until that point. Because of this reflection, he decides it doesn't matter how long his journey is, the friends he has along for this journey make it all worthwhile. All theoretical, of course, but I like the idea. It also kind of aligns with the themes of each game if you think about it hard enough.

A timeless game that somehow captures the beauty and love of Disney as well as the mystery and allure of the final fantasy series. A truly masterpiece of a series even with the downfalls of KH3. 3:24 starting that with Roxas' quote from the beginning of KH2 and proceeding with this very simple guitar-strum of Dearly Beloved is...beautiful. i personally have the mental image of Roxas waking up after a night of tossing and turning with these memories in his head that don't belong to him. and to try and calm himself down, he starts strumming on an instrument. legs dangling over the side of the bed, tips of his fingers gently plucking the strings as he takes a deep breath, then lets it out. then another deep breath, and lets it out. the deep breathing may be due to the fact that i think i can hear something or someone breathing as they strum the guitar.

this reminds me of when i was in elematery school and i was very small and weak and i would always get picked on and beat up to extreme levels and would always go home with blood stained cloths with cuts and buses. but as soon as i got home i hoped on KH and then i remembered that every things ok as long as i have my boys, Sora, Donald and Goofy at my side and this amazing sound track nothing can get in my way because my friend are my power and my heart is my weapon. thank you KH for helping me through my pain and suffering and thank you COZY for putting this lofi hip hop mix out there.

Its about to be four years since this playlist came out, at a very difficult time of my life, this for some reason gave me the strength to continue forward.
