First time I heard her music was this set…me and a bunch of buddies were at a cabin in the poconos for a bachelor party. We had piles of Kitty and yay…at some point we decided to turn YT on to see what Roo had to offer and we had the divine luck of beholding this masterpiece.

I've been listening to mostly mixes 40 hours a week at work for over 10 years (to constantly find new artists)- probably over 5,000 different mixes by now. Probably 10 of CloZee's mixes are in my all time 20 favorites. Nobody sounds quite like her. Only ever disappointed once, that the "Sunset Dreamtempo" cut off a bit short at the end. Opiuo is one of the oldest in my favorites, and now CloZee's worked/toured with him. The rest are mostly trip-hop mixes.

It's like how the 12-bar blues set a structure for a whole new genre. Dubstep and heavy, hype bass music has been the benefactor of a new structure of music altogether. It breathes. It follows the long 1-2, A B meter. It allows for whole measures to build up and dramatically rise anticipation, make those listener's hearts race, then releases in breathtaking lows that we can now feel, that rattles the ribcage to the core, and tantalizes your eardrums with crispy, bright highs that no creature has ever experienced. To anyone claiming that music is dead, you have not heard these bold new genres. There are undeniably modern day mozarts in the genres of IDM and heavy bass music. We have never before had such precise power to wield the 20-20,000 hz range of the sound spectrum. If we could somehow bring back Dvorchak, he would weep at the progression of human art and ingenuity.
