"wouldnt she have told them everything that happened?" When you're breathing IN FIRE, your esophagus and lungs burn horrifically. The fact she even managed to say those names is agonizingly painful.

I watched some historic show about people being burned at the stake and they said that people who were burned like that probably suffocated (unless it one specific type where it was not directly touching them but like a ring of fire) because of precisely this.

Yes!! Spot on!!! He’s improved my opinion about defense attorneys! And…… you can tell he is a humane/diplomatic, GENTLEMAN & FATHER first!!! And a $$$defense attorney second!!! This IS the type of lawyer you want, representing our nation’s “checks and balances” of a sometimes, heavy handed judicial system. A system that aspires to be fair and blind…., but way too often gets it “wrong.”He’s the dignified, diplomatic lawyer that ensures our rights, (innocent till proven guilty), and advocates for all Americans, entitled to a “zealous defense.”

I am a recovering heroin addict and I overdosed in my bathroom with the hot water running and I was bent at the waist w my face in the sink so for the next 20 minutes I was unconscious with scalding water running on my face. When they brought me back I looked at my face in the mirror and thought that they smacked me to wake me up but it soon was evident that I had water burns from my ear to my chin. It was only a very very small area but the pain was horrific. Unfortunately I didn’t learn my lesson and it took me being actually dead and brought back to wake me up enough to choose life over dope. I have 5 kids and have been clean for 4 years.

I knocked a pot of boiling water off the stove and onto my leg while boiling eggs when I was 13 . . . I ran to the bathtub and turned on the cold water. The first layer of skin came off with my jeans. Mom took me to Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Hospital didn’t ask my last name or if I had insurance or anything. As soon as they realized it was a burn, they took me to the burn unit immediately. I remember someone saying they had a really great burn ward and even adults got treated there. There was a soundproof door at the end of one of the halls. I know it was soundproof because I heard a man screaming when someone opened the door. Burn pain is no joke. People who work in burn wards are amazing.

So anybody who reads this let me give you some information just in case you burn yourself down the road because you probably will burn yourself somewhat or badly at least once in your life. While I was in college a couple years ago, I had a frying pan in the oven making some food. Don’t ask me why I was using the frying pan in the oven. That’s just how I made this particular dish. Well, when I open the oven and grab the frying pan handle… it’s a frying pan and you usually just grab a frying pan. You don’t think about it. You just grab the handle. When you’re using a frying pan on the stove top, you can grab the handle and it’s not hot. I didn’t register in my head, fast enough after opening the oven that dumb dumb. It’s in the oven the whole thing it’s gonna be hot. I grabbed that handle and I had that oven going at 450 so that metal was at least 450° I grabbed that handle and just it scorched my hand. I remember wrapping my hand around the handle and then let go before it fully grasped it because that’s how much it hurt right away . I only halfway grabbed it, but that’s all it took to turn splotches of my hand beat red. It caused me to have to wrap my hand the next day in this gauze stuff which sucked because I was going to trade school for CNC machining and tool and die. All hands on stuff. And I was going through my CNC Lathe Class I spent the next week pretty much one-handed, which made machining fairly hard because there’s a lot of set up. The point of the story is if you burn yourself, do not run your skin that’s burnt under a cold water you use lukewarm water you use room temperature water do not use hot water and do not use cold water . The cold water does something to your skin. That is not good when it’s burning. It decreases blood flow to the burnt area, which can reverse the healing process. Lukewarm water or room temperature water to help with the initial pain but to tell you the truth, nothing is really gonna help you with burning pain. Painkillers don’t really do anything for burns and you kind of just have to get through it . You can try specific creams that are for burns to help with the pain but honestly nothing is really gonna help. You just have to get through it. Don’t use Coldwater water ! Resist the urge lol

True story: Knew a girl in High School. When she was a girl, her nightgown caught fire. Burn scars from her neck, to elbows to her knees. Bullies would walk up to her between classes, flicking lighters in her face saying "Need a light?" simply to torment her. I defended her best I could, but I know those words hurt her bad. Please... The fact that they lured her in with the lie about rekindling their friendship is almost the most despicable thing about this. Betraying and playing with the trust and hope of another person is truly evil, especially considering what they had in mind for her. She followed them probably being all smiles and happy about becoming friends again, while her alleged friends are already seeing her bloody and screaming in their heads. Makes my skin crawl just imagining the contrast.

My mom and dad both grew up poor. They had limited education. However, my grandmothers had totally different housekeeping habits. My dad’s mom was not one to clean up. Ashtrays were always overflowing. Dust was brutal. I took care of her house from a very young age and learned how to clean, cook and do laundry. My mom’s mother was the opposite. She and my grandfather had nothing but what they did have was always extraordinarily cleaned. After Dad’s mom died, I simply could not face cleaning her house. Mom did it for me. When mom’s mother died (about 20 years later) there was not a speck of dust to be found. Even under the bed. She was 74 and had cancer but that house was cleaner than any hospital. My mother always said the same thing as Bruce. Just because you are poor or live in a trailer, you don’t have to be sloppy and dirty.

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve always valued education in all areas. From the classroom to the field and everything in between. I get as excited as a child when I learn new things. Even going to a zoo provides and opportunity to learn. Museums are much the same. The Royal Ontario Museum ( ROM) is an incredible museum that would take weeks to fully explore. Well, that’s just my opinion. I miss both grandmothers so much. They were strong women with kind souls. This poor murdered girl wanted to lead a different life for her and her children. I noticed that HER trailer was neat, clean and tidy. She could have been like those grandmothers that I loved and admired so much. The inhumanity of this crime is incomprehensible.

I was in a car accident and the site of one of my wounds became infected and its stitches broke open. Doctors said they couldn't restitch it because of the infection, which was causing some of my flesh to ooze and turn black. So they had to do the same thing to it as they do with burns, the scraping/grating, and picking and cutting, all but had me hanging from the ceiling. They did it every day for a week, then once a week for another month. I know that pain, your nerves are exposed, even the air is painful. And it was a very small section of my leg, I can't imagine having that all over my body but I think I'd rather be euthanized. And like you, I gained a whole lot of perspective and appreciation through that pain.

My grandma died from 2nd and 3rd degree burns when I was 8. She set herself on fire. I wasn’t there to see it. People who lived in her apartment complex said she came outside on fire. She was walking around like normal; she wasn’t screaming or anything. This was due to her having multiple strokes and dementia that I guess her brain wasn’t working properly. When she was in the burn unit, my mom would go visit her. She didn’t allow me and my brother to see my grandma. I never got to say goodbye. Whenever I hear of someone being burned, it brings back sad memories of my grandma. It still bothers me even though it’s been over 20 years. I pray that this woman’s family will be okay 😢

For someone to do that to her is beyond cruel, it's inhuman. Sick. Psychopathic. No amount of mental help for who did this to that poor girl would ever make them normal. My mom worked at a deli in the 90s and her coworker Stacy was going to change oil in the deep fryer. I'm not sure if either the fryer hadn't been off long enough for the oil to cool or if she wasn't using the container they normally drained the oil into, but for some reason Stacy grabbed a big plastic bucket and started draining hot oil into the plastic bucket. My mom said the bucket started melting and Stacy picked it up by the handle, I think she was trying to get it to the sink before it made a mess on the floor, but the bottom gave out as soon as she lifted it off the ground and several gallons of hot oil spilled all over her feet. My mom said the only thing she could think of was to get Stacy's feet into water immediately and the closest thing was like a 10 gal bucket that pickles came in. I don't know if my mom dumped out the pickle juice and filled it with fresh water or if Stacy had to put her feet directly in pickle juice, but I imagine there was at least some residue still in there if my mom had just dumped it. The oil wasn't at deep frying temperature, so I don't know if she had 1st or 2nd degree burns, but she managed to get in my mom's car with the pickle bucket on the floor and be taken to the ER instead of calling an ambulance. I don't think I saw Stacy again, plus I was probably 9 or 10 when this happened, so I don't know how severe her injuries were or what her recovery was like. But pay attention to what you're doing when you're around hot oil.

As a former nurse who works in law, I can tell you thar the removal of the skin under anesthesia due to charring. Anesthesia couldn’t help. She felt the pain as we slowly removed the dead skin and started skin grafts. The smell is seared into my brain. We did our best; fluids, skin grafts, serious painkillers. We tried to save her due to the fluid loss by skin and IVs. She died. She was drunk and run into a gasoline truck. Please, please if you’ve had too much to drink, take an Uber. Better than that than to die in hospital with diamorphine given in an attempt to control her pain. Plus, as a nurse, the snell of burning flesh makes my stomach churn.

Trailer parks/courts are in an entire socioeconomic class by themselves. Everyone who lives in these communities knows EVERYTHING their neighbors are doing. Neighbors know when you come home, when you leave, what day you go to the grocery store, when the landlord collects your rent, who you're sleeping with and when your sleeping with them. They also know how many kids you've got, where they go to school and how much a month they get in food stamps. Unbelievable........

I watched this entire video the day Explore With Us released it. As a nurse, I have a deeper understanding how dire her condition was. Your skin is your largest organ. This woman had no chance after being burnt this severly. The fact sh was burnt to that degree she HAD to have been running on sheer adrenaline & mother's love to get help. @Bruce To clarify fish fry. If she sent someone to the store for fish fry she was actually pan frying or deep frying fish or fish filets. Fish Fry is the seasoning you dredge it in that becomes the crunchy breading. The most popular brand is House Autry.

Another great (but awfully sad) story! I am retired, but was an ER/Trauma RN 30+ years in a large, inner city hospital. And I HATE BURNS! You are so right - they are most likely the worst injuries there can be to a human. House fires claim tiny children, and there are burned little faces and bodies I can never forget. We had the men who were trapped in a saw mill fire Life-Flighted to us one night......oh, Lord have Mercy. Just to explain, when people are burned over their chest and back, we have to use a machine called a “Bovie”, and it’s rather disgusting. If you think about what happens to candle wax after it has sat on a table top for a few minutes, it turns hard, right? Well, the full thickness (and some partial) burns turn hard as well, and then the patient absolutely cannot breathe - his/her chest is so hardened, it cannot expand to allow oxygen in. So we cut the chest into about 9 squares, and this gives the patient the ability to expand their chest wall with the oxygen given. It smells horrible. I hate burns. What always killed me about the poor burn patients is they were always AWAKE! For instance, MVA patients don’t remember the crash, many don’t remember their ICU stay - but the burn patient’s eyes are ALWAYS open, staring out of their head in sheer panic. And yes, the pain is unbelievable - we had to put these patients down pharmaceuticals and intubate them, place on a ventilator because it was the only way to give them some type of relief. I hate burns. There are actually FOUR stages of burns.....the three that you had up on your screen were all perfectly explained - but fourth degree burns go through both layers of skin, underlying tissue plus muscle and bone. These burns do not cause pain because the nerve endings are trashed. I just love hearing what you have to say about Crazy Criminals! God bless you and yours! 🙏♥️🕊✝️🙋‍♀️💜🕎🌹(I hate burns!)

Just so folks know, the degree of a burn can be complicated by infection. A second degree burn can become third degree by infection and initial treatment includes protection from infection. Also in initial treatment is replacement of fluid loss from the burn. I am retired now, but when I was in practice, the fluids replacement was calculated using a formula from the Brooke Army Medical Center. Third degree burns are full thickness burns and they are nearly painless because the nerve endings in the skin have been destroyed by the burn.

Tina Brown tried to get her verdict overturned or a new trial by claiming that another inmate lied at her trial that Brown had confessed to her that she was the mastermind and instigator of Audreanna’s murder. Her attorneys waited too long to appeal the sentence and that even without her former cellmate’s testimony there was plenty of evidence that Brown was indeed the mastermind. She remains only one of three women currently on Florida’s death row. Her daughter’s life sentence has been reduced to life with parole after 15 years as she was still a minor at the time of the murder and the Supreme Court ruled in 2012 that whole life sentences are not constitutional due to the fact that children’s brains are not fully formed. She should be receiving a review next year of her life sentence. All of these wasted lives because the women were sleeping with Heather Lee’s husband in exchange for drugs. RIP Audreanna Zimmerman.

1:14:40 Bruce, just FYI...cluttering & hoarding are well-identified trauma responses. I work in property management, so I see it all the time. First, in trailer park living, there is zero storage. Second, there is a generational accrual of lack of housekeeping skills & investment. Third, there is a self-soothing element to acquiring "stuff", whether you're rich or poor (and especially if you're poor). Fourth, if you're caught up in drugs & prostitution, cleaning is dead last on the list. It might be on the list...but it's last. Not saying I disagree with you that even if you're living in a trailer, you can keep it tidy. But in most cases, it is actually not feasible for a multitude of reasons. The mess an outsider observes is not necessarily a reflection of the soul of the person living there.

Half a blunt and massive bowl of popcorn. I’m not feeling well about humanity. Kudos to Michael; I don’t know how much footage he had to go through, but a criminal lawyer breakdown over 2hrs!?!? I was engaged through the whole presentation. 5*

I watch every one of your videos, and so very much appreciate your channel. People always say, defense lawyers are trash, but a good defense lawyer is probably the most important part of the entire process. I have studied law for years, never formally, bit soon hope to make it into law school. Thanks for what you do sir!

It wasn't until watching Bruce and other defense lawyers here on KZbin (and lots of court footage) that I was able to shake my pre-conceived notions about them. Turns out, any lawyer can be a sleaze regardless of what "side" they're on, and you don't need to be a sleaze to defend the rights of someone who's actually committed terrible acts.

This is a truly heartbreaking story. I couldn't imagine the pain she suffered until she was sedated. My mom struggled, months of recovery from boiling water, this poor woman, and then the family left knowing her final moments were of her children, she was a special woman to do what she did. My condolences to her family. I stayed home after this story it was only 1:00 p.m. but I figured, why mess with fate, you did tell me to stay home after all. So I'm just taking your good, solid advice, and staying put!

The first time I ever got on a motorcycle, I burned my calf on the exhaust, leaving two 2nd degree burns. The total area burned was about 3x4 inches of skin, about 25% of my calf had two large blisters. I have tattoos twice the size of the blisters, but the pain was not even comparable. I would wake up and pray that my bandages didn’t stick to my skin at night, because the pain of soaking them and peeling them off was unbearable. The feeling of skin peeling off, no matter how long you soaked those bandages, made my stomach turn. The burning sensation didn’t stop until there was just a scab left, because the burn retains the heat of your cells healing. I’ve had a lot of accidents and injuries, but I would NEVER wish burning on anyone. I don’t care what the crime or slight was, severe burns are an extreme that no one should have to experience.

This case steadily escalated from wine to tequila with every turn... It was probably one of the few viable paths that could allow me to hear how this girl passed in such a horrific way. Even as a non-believer, I hope she was given eternal peace as she passed. No one deserves what happened to her... Her last words were about her "making it" and about her children. Heartbreaking. It made me want my belief to be wrong, and that one day, she will be able to see her children again.

I’m not here to change anyone’s minds but if it’s worth anything, I had a spontaneous out of body experience once. So I started following others on the internet and one guy had an identical experience and saw the same crazy shit- so he validated that I wasn’t losing my mind. I know that we are not just our bodies. So I am grateful that she passed. She would have suffered greatly for the rest of her life had she survived 😢

I got 3rd and 4th degree burns over 80% of my back. 4th degree involves bone being scorched. The burn came from being pinned under a tractor trailer by the exuaust piped on my back. It took 40 minutes to be extracted. Literally all of the skin on my back was burned away to full depth. The skin grafts were just to cover the giant crater where my back skin used to be. Freaking excruciating!

Fish Fry comes in a bag. It's cornmeal , a little bit of flour and all the seasons that you need to make fried fish. You roll your fish in it and then put it in the fryer. And that's what makes the crust on your fish

Weird. I just listened to a case earlier today about a woman burned alive. And testified on video for her own murder trial. She was even cross examined by the defense attorney. I was going to suggest to you.... then I see this. If you can stomach another one, please do the case of Judy Malinowski.

It causes pain to hear him talk to her like that. It was her boyfriend who did it. She lived 2 years after the incident. But stayed in the hospital. Absolutely horrific.

So many tragedies happen as a terrible result of a cheating spouse, as in this case. I just don’t understand why the wife didn’t go after her serial cheating husband rather than this young mom. Edit: And for the wife to involve her daughter, thus ruining her life as well, is so illogical.
