In 2016 my entire brake system failed on my Dodge Durango . I was at the top of a hill headed down towards a busy intersection in a school zone during school dismissal. I refused to involve another vehicle/ person so I took it off the road in hopes of losing some momentum . But the dip that ran alongside the road damaged my steering . And I struck a corner of a building . Burst fractured my spine . But that was easier to live with than involving another human being . That was my choice . His choice was to hurt people and there is no disguising this truth . His karma alone , to me , would be insurmountable. That’s what u get when u choose chaos

Brooks is such a violent imbecile, you’d think he would want to stay far away from cops after being in jail 48 hours prior and violating the terms of his bail, but instead he heads straight to where the most cops and squad cars are in the city at the time instead of turning the freaking steering wheel.

Agreed, love this channel but the audio is such a distraction from the story it becomes unwatchable. A quick quality check prior to posting each video could prevent a lot of headaches. And to keep the video up this long without fixing it gives the impression that you don’t care about your audience. Perhaps you don’t know how to fix it after the fact, if that’s the case, maybe mention it at the beginning of the video or make a separate one explaining the situation. Otherwise the audience feels confused bewildered

He was enraged because he was just bonded out of jail from trying to run over his ex just a week or two before this parade and was pissed that he again wasn't able to control her and get her to refuse to testify or change her story, so he was trying to physically attack her again only this time she had two friends with her. The female friend he struck in the face when she tried to defend his ex, but then the male friend yanked both women behind himself and Brooks being half this man's size backed down. The male friend told Brooks to leave that he had already alerted the police of his presence. Brooks made a U-turn crashed thru the barriers blocking the parade route, almost hitting the police standing by the barriers. Brooks honked his horn and ran over the crowed. His vehicle was found to be in perfect working condition and even if it hadn't been Ford said it had no effect on the braking system and that Brooks could have simply stopped the vehicle like the all the others that had malfunctioned.

Your missing the part where he didn't just go straight to the parade route he went to the gas station and stopped. He wasn't accidentally on the parade route because he was afraid of police the street he drove down had police vehicles on it with lights flashing. If he was afraid to get caught he wouldn't have drove towards the police. Before he dropped his GF off they drove around the area for 35 minutes he knew how to drive out of the area without being seen by police.

@@allenwoody8738 no, he was at the gas station prior to meeting with Erika, prior to the parade. He went straight from White Rock Ave (where they got into the fight) to Main street and took a right onto the parade route. IF he had turned right onto Barstow (going towards the gas station) instead of slamming into the first victim and then the Waukesha West Band, he would have been on his way to that gas station and SO MANY lives would never have been impacted. I live a mile from this street he murdered people on. Fear moved quickly throughout Waukesha. My son received a Snapchat saying that there was an active shooter driving towards our home shooting people... We feared for what could be coming our way. Of course, it was just rumors, but still!

I'm still shaking my head that DB thought that he could charm the jury into nullifying itself.
@kylecanavan7967
@kylecanavan7967 Жыл бұрын
The thing about jury nullification is that most people take those two words and think that it's about the jury. Jury nullification is when a jury thinks that the law is wrong, and they nullify the LAW. For example, an entire jury nullifying marijuana possession laws for example. This jury would have to think that intentional homicide isn't a good law to enforce and should be stricken from the record. That's what makes it even funnier, DB thought that they'd say "yeah, intentional homicide IS a stupid restriction on peoples' rights, you're right, go free."

So I'm guessing some cockeyed yokel, who's in jail on a contempt charge for accusing his judge of abandoning ship and creating a mutany, while simultaneously arguing subject matter jurisdiction over a ticket he got by the road pirates who were attempting to steal his personal conveyance, gave brooks some really bad advice throughout this trial. WHY he did it ? Because of the last two things he was charged with…. Bail Jumping… This man was out on bail for pushing someone out of his car and running her over, when he did that he was out on bail for shooting at several people. I think he also has issues pending with both child support payments and failure to register as a sex offender. Because of all this as condition of his bail(s) he was not to have contact with the individual he got into a fight with at the park nor get into any trouble with the law…. So that’s what he was running from…. Two counts of bail jumping…… he was trying to get away and establish an alibi elsewhere So to avoid TWO counts of bail jumping and maybe a third charge of domestic abuse he ran over and KILLED SIX (not 5) and injured dozens more…. And he expects 12 people from the County of Waukesha to enter in a secret arrangement and nullify these charges…

I love how this guy kept trying to talk about jury nullification, as if the jury would ever nullify on his behalf. There genuinely are cases where the jury might feel the urge to do it, if they feel the defendant is guilty of breaking an unjust law. Never in a million years were they going to do that for him in this case.

This judge got a lot of bad press over her handling of the trial, but I found her brilliant in strategy. She allowed the defendant as much leeway and stretched the limits almost beyond endurance - as a result, he will have no basis of appeal that he was not allowed every possible accommodation. The witnesses and victims will not have to endure another trial full of his shenanigans. Well done, judge!

I had the pleasure of going to a high school where the majority of the student body consisted of "angry males of a certain skin tone." Some of the antics of Mr Brooks, and certainly the unique attitude he displayed, brought back old memories. But why did he do this? He was angry obviously. And more importantly, he lies. But not just to the world, he lies to himself. He didn't hit those people, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They put themselves in this position by having a silly parade on his route. Mr Brooks stikes me as a man who is quite prepared to blame everyone else for every poor decision he has ever made. And he is quite incapable of learning from any mistake. He lies to himself so often that rational self-reflection is quite impossible. But never assume he is not intelligent. And his interest in deception toward the jury (vehicle malfunctions, tinted windows preventing his identification, trying to suggest divine repercussions on those who convict him) is outrageous!

The part about not kicking themselves later is what cracked me up. If a juror was genuinely torn on nullifying, and the two futures they could have kicked themselves over were "I let this guy the community hates walk, everybody is miserable, the guy ends up back in jail anyways but is a walking threat until it happens and this jury is considered one of the worst in modern history" or "I put a guy who can't stay out of a court house in jail, because he drove over people, and if I'm somehow wrong, it's his self representation that was unable to prove it". Or maybe best case scenario for him "I feel bad I put a father in jail for life but there was literally no way he wasn't guilty so that part can't weigh on me anyways". Like literally if a juror was torn and thought about that it would turn them against him ten times out of ten.
