Nothing better than bonkin people while making sure to dress up as pretty as possible. Defense be damned, that is the best playstyle just for the pure fun of it

Yes, friend speak true! Club bonk good in ring game. Me no use tree, me use stone! xD, Jokes aside, the vertical R1 swings originated in DS1 and was why the Reinforced Club was a sleeper hit; especially in SL1 runs. But back then you'd get a stumbling animation if you swung and the hit didn't connect with an enemy while using Hammers, Halberds and a few others I can't recall at the moment. FromSoft got rid of the stumble in ER, but I've never used the basic Club through a full run since it often clashes with my fashion but it's a reliable weapon regardless.
@the_jersey_side2 ай бұрын
Glad to see we don't have a stumble animation anymore in ER, at least for the sake of making an effective build. An animation like that would be a death sentence in this game's fast pace!

Lovely video! If you're looking for a an absolutely slept on setup, I'd look into Standard Affinity Clayman's Harpoon with Scholar's armament. On an int build of course. Due to the innate magic damage and infusability of the weapon you end up with an int equivalent to the Fire Knight's weapons, where you can further buff its innate elemental damage. You get GREAT damage with it!
@the_jersey_side2 ай бұрын
@UnknownRayDar Great suggestion! Clayman's Harpoon is a unique feeling weapon and great fun! I did a build on it a bit over a year ago. I cold infused it and put Charge Forth on it. In my left hand, I had a staff for casting Carian Piercer. It was the ultimate knockdown build!

Regular bosses like Malenia and Radagon are very good practice dummies for the club and other hammers! Charged R2 tracks well and the hitboxes are pretty good. Staggies for days baby x)

First and only playthrough of Elden Ring Not counting DLC) - 220 hours. Time spent using the Wretch club - 220 hours. (of course I tried other cool weapons too but club is peak so I beat everything with it.)

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but Prayerful Strike doesn't do elemental damage despite naturally granting Sacred infusion. Only the weapon itself will do elemental damage if it's Lightning/Sacred infused or has other elemental buffs on it. The stats you're using for this setup is similar (but Keen instead of Heavy) to what I'm considering for my Omniblade for the rest of the DLC run. P.S. I didn't realise there's an upgrade to the Green Turtle Talisman. I don't know where to get it but I'm also not sure if I've explored near wherever it's located. Looks like I'll get to explore more soon.
@the_jersey_side2 ай бұрын
@magnolia549 I've seen people talk about Prayerful Strike before saying it does holy damage and not to use it in bosses like Maliketh. You can see that's wrong because when I use it on him and Elden Beast it does more than tickle them lol. If I ever use it again, I'd love to try it on a longer weapon! Two Headed Turtle Talisman has been in nearly every build since the DLC dropped. I'm so happy it went the way of the chloranthy ring and gave us an upgraded version

@@the_jersey_side If I may suggest something too, give the Twinblade Talisman a try with the Golem's Halberd or some other Colossal weapon. Colossals have short 3-attack chains so you can get the Talisman's buff off easily.

It's easy to compare this to the stone club and say the stone club is superior. Overall, it is better because it ends up dealing almost 100 more AR (that's with high STR and full upgrade). BUT the Club is lightweight, only 3.5 units. The Stone Club weighs twice as much. That's the underrated and often unconsidered balancing factor. Usually it doesn't matter much, but the Club has a niche. It's one of the lightest STR weapons there are, so it's a good secondary to have equipped alongside a larger weapon.
