Thin Ice is a mini-game that was first released on December 19, 2006 and can be found in the Arcade or the Dance Lounge on Club Penguin. The game is simple but difficult as it allows a player to control a Black Puffle that is on fire and will go around a maze covered in ice which will melt because of the heat coming off of the Black Puffle. There are 19 levels in total and each have two variants that are a bit different from one another which makes you look for different methods to solve the maze. Within this game you can collect more and more coin bags as long as you solve every single maze puzzle which can all range from easy to hard depending on how you think of it. One good thing about Thin Ice is there are no lives and if you had too hard of a time to solve a level then you have the ability to skip it and continue on. Of course this will affect your score in the end as you will not get the tiles you burned off from that level to be added to your final total. There is also a Secret room in the game that can be reached on the last level and gives you a bunch of coin bags based on the amount of levels you have solved. During the April Fools Party 2008 the game was paired up with Astro Barrier to be called Thinicetrobarrrier where the game included all of the levels of Astro Barrier, but used the Black Puffle instead of a ship. As of 2010 only Members are able to complete the entire game while Non-members can go up to level 10 in the game and will receive a message telling them to buy a membership in order to complete the game.
