@RicLaFlair hear me out bc no comparison is gonna be spot on bc he’s his own player but a more offensively skilled slighty less defensively talented Scottie Barnes in a sense that like they both are I don’t think like a #1 option go to guy but they can be your most impactful player & the best player on your team. Scottie can score 30 but he don’t necessarily need to to have a huge impact on the game. Like he can score 30 or he can score like 11 & have the same impact on the game either way bc he does so much other shxt. Like the way they play is different but they way they do a lil bit of everything & impact on the game is very similar IMO

@club520podcast Cooper Flagg didn't reclass to his normal grade. His normal grade is 2025 and he reclassed to 2024. That's why right now he's literally the youngest player in college at 17 yrs old n he turns 18 in late December I think. So he was playing 16u at 16 with his Maine team who wouldn't even be in eybl if it weren't for him. He didn't play 17u cause they literally don't got a 17u n he wanted his friends to get shine while playing with him. The team basically existed in eybl because of him. JT is wrong on this one.

That’s common sense honestly. That’s why so many Forner nba players transfer into good or decent coaches .Not saying they always right but asking “what that got to do with it “ like you dumb asl ain’t the move either. And Jordan played in 1968 and couldn’t even dribble with his left ion kno y mfs was expecting him to be a great skill evaluator when players now are way way more skilled then in his time . Teague is wrong when he says Flagg re-classed to his normal (or "birth") class. He should be a senior in high school this year, which is why he's the second youngest player in all of NCAA basketball right now at 17 years old. If he'd been born a few weeks later, he wouldn't be eligible for the next NBA draft. He was ~7 months older than some players in one AAU tournament, but that's entirely unrelated to his reclassification.

Teague is right, in the NBA, Cooper Flagg is an energy player. He doesn’t create offense at an elite level even at Duke, he is not a high level shooter, playmaker or facilitator. If Josh Smith and Cooper Flagg were in the same draft Josh would be drafted before him without question. Thriving in the NBA, becoming an All-Star or even a starting level player you must have definable skill that you can perform greater that almost everyone else. Cooper’s definable elite skill is energy on defense.

Teague is calling him Josh Smith. The other guy is arguing his “ ceiling”is higher with his lazy Gordon Hayward comparison, benefit of AS selections along with being white. And Josh Smith was Draymond Green on steroids, the perfect 2 or 3 player on a championship team if he played today, same with Coop. Smoove would be perennial all nba now

For B-Hen it’s either be the punching bag or get a real regular job. I’m sure he will take the jokes for podcasting. Jeff is the big dog here notice no other pro athletes on this show so he can trump anything they say by bringing up they lack of basketball credentials.

He’ll score far more than Josh Smith ever did. Josh Smith was a runner and an amazing one footed jumper. His shot wasn’t bad later in his career. I’m not sure who the comparison is for the dude but I’m not seeing a Josh smith. Looks like a 22 pts 8rebs 1.5 blocks. He’s just going to be super versatile. If he goes to a good team he will def help them win.
