I think there's a reason why it's always a long wait. The ride has terrible capacity with only 4 people per car, unlike rides like Skyrush and Candymonium. It's also indoors so people in the hot summer heat know it's air conditioned and immediately run to the ride. Not the mention that it's the only dark ride in the park, not counting the Chocolate World Tour ride.
