Tip from my parents' personal experience putting these on me: put the boots on when the child is awake, then put the bar in when they are asleep. Otherwise you have basically given your child a weapon they can kick into your face if the bar is only on one foot and they kick out.

I think we got them at Shriners hospital they called them “Pringle’s” so not sure if you can find them online
