Looks great but over 90% of the wheel you cannot use with an Xbox one Xbox x or Xbox series x and the rev lights and flag lights also do not work on this platform nor do the podium paddle shifters. It’s very disingenuous not to advertise the significant shortcomings of using Fanatec wheels on the Xbox platform.

Hi Dave, this is stated in the Compatibility section and the Special Notes section of the product page. It's also not correct to say that the Podium Advanced Paddle Module doesn't work on Xbox. Both pairs of magnetic paddles and the analogue paddles are operational, but like some of the other wheel inputs, there is some duplication due to the limitations of the Xbox OS.

But the question is why don't rev lights and flags on the steering wheel work? why if you leave it in setup mode do the braking LEDs work? what concerns the leds I don't think is a Microsoft input problem. At least those should work on an Xbox branded wheel! i believe it is an SDK problem

@@MARKOTMT The lack of LED/display support is also due to Xbox OS limitations, the communication is not allowed. The LEDs work in setup to show brake sensitivity because that is controlled entirely by us within the Fanatec firmware, and does not involve any communication with the Xbox. The Fanatec SDK is not the problem. The restrictions are from Microsoft's side. But we are hopeful that this may change in the future.

Hey Fanatec is there any chance you guys could work with Microsoft and release some drivers so I can use all the buttons/rotary encoders on Xbox as well as get the shift lights working? Paid $400 for a quarter functional wheel.

@@daddyfoosa7712 it says nowhere on their website that most the buttons on an Xbox compatible wheel (and you pay extra for Xbox licensing) would have mostly non functional buttons. I don’t think it’s crazy to assume that when it says Xbox compatible on fanatec’s official website it actually means Xbox compatible. The problem lies mostly with Microsoft though.

In ACC on Ps5, after an average lap, the steering wheel disconnects and packs up with all the LEDs on but no longer responds to commands… then after about 1 minute it works again… !! I have everything updated… I play on ps5 and I have a csldd and the formula v2.5x steering wheel !! On Gt7 for example it works regularly !! Is it a problem with the steering wheel or racing set-up? I hope you can help me !!! 🙏🏼

Hi Timo, no you don't, the metal 'QR1 Wheel-Side' is included in the price. It is packaged separately and requires installation, as shown in this video.

Yes it does, you can see it from the pictures on the Fanatec website, behind the wheel the shifters have some circled metal looking like button things, those are magnets, and its the V2.5X version, which is an mini upgrade from the V2! The V2 one didnt had the magnetic shifters and it had red shifters with red quick release than all black that this version has

Maybe I didnt set something up right or maybe the games don't support it but I have this wheel with the csl dd wheel base and v3 pedals. I updated all firmware with my pc first then connected it to my xbox and the rpm gauge and speed on the lcd screen doesn't work on the wheel in f1 2021 or forza horizon 4 or motor sport 7. Also the pedals rumble features arent working. Any tips or help? Or is it just not supported on xbox? Also only on assetto corsa on pc it wont recognize the the clutch pedal.

Ça dépend du jeux. Sur pc à ec assetto corsa met ta base en mode Compatibilité. Renseigne toi sur le net !

Anyone know what the wheel should display during LEDs test. My rev and flash LEDs don't work and when I click that test only small white light on bottom lights up? Thanks

The RevLED test should light up all LEDs including the FlagLEDs in multiple colours. If yours are not doing that there might be a connection issue somewhere. Please contact support, either with a Support Ticket via the My Products section of your Fanatec account, or using the Live Chat feature on the site (active every weekday, whenever you see the headset icon).

I just updated my firmware after purchasing this rim a few weeks ago. Upon updating the rim felt odd and then when I played either F1 2021/ Forza horizon 4 and Rfactor2 the rim would lock and start jolting and make noise and make it impossible to steer and turn with out feeling like it was going to be broken. Any recommendations or anyone else experience this ? Running a. V2.5 club sport and the I noticed in the firmware screen it is frozen like glitched on the water mark of the spinning icon .

Hi Daniel, this exact same thing happened to me. I think it's an easy fix, lower your FEI settings on the wheel/base to a number lower than 70. I think that will fix it. I hope this helps, it took me days to do this simple fix.

@@BronxEddie hey Eddie 👋 thanks for your input after making a ticket and following a few of the trouble shoots the fanatec support team sent me I was able to revert to a firmware from a year ago and manual resetting my wheel I was able to resolve the issue!! The wheel feels like itself again! Stoked I can get back to racing!

@@BronxEddie I had tried lowering the fei as well and it didn’t do anything only way I had it feeling some what normal before the main fix was just dropping all the in game rumble and vibrations scale but thankfully the fanatec fix worked !

I hope someone sees this!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the Xbox one series X and when, trying to map the red up-and-down switches, in f1 22 game as well as the LT LSB RT RSB buttons it just maps to the throttle or the break. Really hope someone can get back to me or coming back on this problem. I’m having as I can only use A B X or Y bottoms on the wheel. Also, my OLED display does not display any information when playing F1 22 game

I’ve just purchased the fanatec 8mm DD & formula v.2.5 for my Xbox series X and have come across this issue. Half of the buttons are duplicates and makes the game almost impossible to play. Did you manage find a solution?

This is an issue on Microsoft’s end. If you use the wheel on PC those buttons are mappable.

I got my self the mclaren gt3 v2 so I can use with the ps5 and you guys stop making ps5 compatible wheel drives. Most inputs work but some are duplicated on Xbox, due to Xbox OS limitations. Please check the Quick Guide (in the Downloads tab of the product page) for more information. The LEDs are also not currently supported on Xbox for the same reason.

I would love to get a full fanatec setup but it is ridiculous how I need to pay a extra £350 just to get it shipped to the UK. I don't want to get a Logitech or thrustmaster set up. If anybody can help me maybe even fanatec.
