I find it a contradiction that they chose to have Ms Rose in this game as a villain. Because in the original game, she really wasn’t a villain nor was she evil. She was simply trying to protect her kingdom and she gave the clue finders a chance to help her. Also the clue fingers didn’t defeat her in the original game, they helped her. Not to mention that the Clue Finders are suppose to be the only humans who know of the existence of her Underground Plant Kingdom. So how would Carmen Sandiago know how to recruit Ms Rose? It honestly would have made more sense to put Mimi Ramon from Search and Solve in Ms Rose’s place. She was unequivocally evil and more the mastermind over her brother. Also if she had set up a trap it probably would have been amusement park themed, that still would have been just as cool as Ms Rose’s underground plant trap.

The villains could've actually won here if they had simply swapped the Cluefinders around the different traps and make them do the traps they AREN'T skilled at. Obviously Owen the pro skater has the best chance of getting out of the skate trap while Leslie the bookworm has the best chance of getting out of a literature trap. Meanwhile tech savvy Santiago has the pinball machine trap and athletic Joni has the platformer trap. It's like the villains want them to escape.

Joma Hawk Leslie's challenge is my favourite because it matches my bookish personality. Joni's is cool too cause all of the ClueFinders were together and needed to complete it. Owen's is pretty, well, "radical, dude!" and Santiago's was the most frustrating and time-consuming.

I thought of an explanation for the presence of Ms. Rose: that actually *isn't* Ms. Rose at all, remember her real form was that of a giant plant not a human! Instead it's another villain - most likely Mimi or Jacques Ramon (he was able to change his voice) - in disguise! Maybe Mimi or Jacques met Ms. Rose in her human disguise when she was double-checking on how things were going with the factories above ground (especially to make sure that they wouldn't switch back to using pollutants) and found out about the Cluefinders having helped her stopped the factories from polluting her kingdom. Mimi or Jacques faked friendliness to get Ms. Rose to trust her/him, just like how Jacques faked friendliness to trick the Cluefinders into rescuing him from that ride. Then when Mimi or Jacques was recruited to help capture the Cluefinders she/he got the idea to pin the blame on Ms. Rose so that if the Cluefinders did escape they wouldn't go looking for her/him. This also would explain why the living plants attacked Ms. Rose in the end, because when she arrived down there they instantly knew 'she' wasn't really their queen!

You know, the pollution making Ms Rose evil again still doesn't make sense. It never even made her evil before, just defensive and protective. It would make more sense if the fourth villain was one of the people who owned the factories that were polluting the plant kingdom in the first place, and he/she wanted revenge because being forced to stop polluting the waters cost his/her factory lots of money. So he/she targets Santiago, since he was the one who went to the factories in the first place. Of course this would mean that Joni is targeted by Pericles instead.... No wait, Pericles targets Owen because if he hadn't lost his wallet on the cable car then he and Joni wouldn't have been shrunk which caused all of the Cluefinders to investigate the shrinking mystery, and Fletcher targets Joni because it was her uncle who first tried to stop Fletcher's poaching/furrier scheme. That makes way more sense.

Actually, Lear targeting Santiago makes sense because he was the one who used the unshrinker to make the shrinker large, which had pinned Lear to the ground.

Leslie's game was a bitch, where I constantly had to stay in one spot, to keep the Gargoyles from breaking the books, but also having to move long enough for the right book to fall next and complete the pile. Lol I played the game only 2 years back for old times sake, and The Library was the worst. When I was 10, it was the pinball machine. lol
