3:36 To be fair, Chelsea were not waiting 26 years for a trophy before Abramovich took over. Their most recent trophy before the 2003 takeover was the 2000 FA Cup, so that's 3 years. All but five English clubs are currently on a longer trophy drought than that.

People seem to gloss over Chelsea's 6 seasons before Abramovich came in. Chelsea were top 6 for all those said seasons. Achieved top 4 for 2 out of those 6 seasons where they once finished 3rd with 4 points away from the top. Furthermore, they managed to win 3 domestic cups ( 2 FA and 2 League cup) and 2 UEFA based cups, namely the UEFA Cup Winner's cup (its no longer a companion) and the Super Cup.

As an arsenal fan of 15-20 years, not american but also not European & whose dad is not a huge football fan so didn't force me into choosing a club, or rebel & sorry guys rival, I can tell you that watching then over the years has bright some of the most beautiful images to my eyes, & dinner if the must frustrating moments (of which I have a kit in my ever present of shirt shows in my life if things going wrong/bad luck), but I would not recommend to support them rn as it's been dreadful the last 5 years, that beautiful football left a few years before Wenger left, although things are looking in the up for the future, but that's a few years away si if your bit patient... Rüdiger and Christensen leaving for free weren't to do with the new or the old owner, it was to do with how player contracts are made. Since I don't know when every player has a ridiculous "buy-out" clause or trigger in their contract, plus there is some following of Financial Fair Play. For example, (I'm going to make out the number because I don't know it) Mbappe could have a clause that if any team wants to buy him, then they would need to pay 500 million €. So now the team needs to pay 500 mil, plus sell players for around 500 mil, so you end up with Mbappe and 22 name tags. Because of that players are allowing their contracts to run out so they could move freely to their preferred club. Imagine Tom Brady wants to win SB with the 49ers, but to trade him there 49ers would need to give up the whole core of the offensive line. Sure they get Brady but no one to give/throw the ball.
