Saturday the 24th February, running the Clumber Park parkrun 5k
215th parkrun and 153rd at Clumber
Unfortunately, due to a technical issue the video cut out shortly after starting
Has been damp this last week so was expecting it to be quite muddy, but being cold over night it had largely frozen, so there were a few patches of ice in the puddles, and firmer under foot.
Went out quick and just tried to hold on, surprised by the resulting time!

▶ Matt, hello! ) It’s a pity that you weren’t able to capture this entire race on video. Already in the first meters of the race, sports potential was visible, which could mean nothing more than a high final result. By the way, congratulations on the result of 19:41 and 8th place out of 330! ▶ The camcorder may have turned off due to the battery getting cold in the cold. Earlier versions of Gopro would shut down even at +5℃. My first Digma video camera worked at -10 ℃ in an aquabox. But after 2 years, the battery suddenly began to lose charge in the cold. I recently bought a Gopro Hero 12, but have not yet tested it in the cold. Cheers ! Ay, think you're right about the cold draining the battery, frustratingly its been fine in colder weather, but the batteries have gone through quite a few charge cycles, so that probably hasn't helped !

No, its the normal camera, but it decided to shut off after less than 2 minutes. Not sure why, the battery was fully charged, hopefully it doesn't do it again next time !

Good start and well done getting 8th place Matt. Shame the camera shut down but these things happen. Probably was a well fought 8th placing though 👍👏

Cheers@@jamesware7763 It was fairly quiet for the most part, but somehow managed to pass one on the final descent to the finish and get 7 seconds on him, though did end up 30 seconds behind the seventh finisher!
