That’s cool but this vehicle doesn’t even have those components. It’s a rack and pinion system.
@rachelmuniz76455 жыл бұрын
What is the problem exactly? What will need done to fix the problem, and what will/could eventually happen if it's not fixed? Also, how long before it breaks and how much money do you think it will cost, round about? Sorry for all the questions just need answers.

thanks for the tip. Just recently replaced the whole CV Axle system on the right side of my Golf 2017; with brand new OEM parts The garage seems to used the same rotor, bearings, brakes. This COULD be the issues. verus what's out there as
@johnnyramon52614 жыл бұрын
Sound like it could be your tie rods or you rack and pinion check if the mounts of the rack and pinion are tight specially the the one that's connected to the steering wheel chances are that they might be worn out or loose. Also check for play on the inner and outer tie rods.

My 2014 Ford Flex has been making a noise very similar to that, just not as loud. It’s still under warranty and they’ve supposedly replaced the whole suspension but the noise is still there. They’ve pretty much dismissed the problem now to a “body creak” and say there’s nothing more they can do. The car has 52k miles on it but this started at around 36k. Do you have any suggestions?
@deluxeassortment6 жыл бұрын
They replaced the whole suspension?? Please tell me it was covered by warranty. It was probably just a bad bearing. But it could be as simple as a bolt not tightened to spec from body to frame (so the body shifts a little). They probably didn't want to "waste" time diagnosing. All they had to do was feel different areas while the car was on the ground.
@hi_its_me_erin6 жыл бұрын
Yes luckily it’s still under extended warranty. One of the mechanics told me that there were “thousands” of body mounts and it would be impossible for them to find it. I bought the car brand new and this noise started at around 35k and it has 52k on it now. The service manager said well, it’s got 50k miles on it, that’s why... knowing I had been bringing it in for the noise since it first started. I don’t know what more I can do now as they have pretty much told me there’s nothing more they can do.
@deluxeassortment6 жыл бұрын
@@hi_its_me_erin Well, many cars make noises after the first few thousand miles, because just driving it hitting bumps, etc, causes metal to bend and shift, and the body creeking could very well be just wear. My wife's scion was creeking in the back when the car's weight would shift, so I sprayed some lithium grease on the spring mounting plates, since I believed the creaking was coming from the spring moving on those plates. Sure enough, the noise got super quiet for about 6 months when the lithium rubbed out. So I sprayed PTFE dry lube (works better with higher weights) and it hasn't come back. That's one possibility, but just one possible place it could be. I had my brother in law sitting on the back of the car swaying it so I could listen closely to all the areas to narrow it down. Part of the problem is that Toyota uses a lot of stamped parts, which do make a lot of noise when stressed.

I have a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander that has the same issue. Also there is a ticking noise that comes from the rigjt front wheel. I had taken it to 2 dealerships for warranty work but they claim they cannot duplicate the noise but the car does make the noise as soon as I drive off the facilities...I like the car but I am just fed up with the excuses. So much for the 5 Year bumper to bumper warranty if they seem not interested in honoring it...I will never buy a Mitsubishi in the U.S. period...
@fancythisgirl35 жыл бұрын
Lean SixSigma take it back and test drive it with them. They may not be hearing it because it may not be prominent enough for them to catch it. I had to do that with 3 mechanics before because they’re looking for louder or obvious noises instead of noises that only you notice since you drive it all the time. I know it’s a pain in the ass but if you’re the one pointing it out, id point out the bill for any labor you had to do yourself. Lol

Jason Oldacre First: gr8t to hear problem is gone now! :) Could it have been some problem with the lower Mount in the strut... So the spring somehow turned a bit in the lower Mount? And now suddenly "fell" into the correct place when driving a bit after changing the springs?
@onyeebere44716 жыл бұрын
This is not a problem. The noise is from the 3 set of springs that stops the transmission of wheel bump to the steering wheel. If you don't like the sound you can change these springs and add more grease to the spring seating. The springs are locate on the rack and pinioning.

I've same noise from my Honda Civic 2013. Any solution? I've shown to a mechanic and he said: Honda and few GM car have this problem in Winter time ( I'm in Toronto) and when temp. goes back to normal then the sound will disappear? Any comment or solution?
@showtimekid77497 жыл бұрын
Pratik Patel Honda here also? You ever get a answer to your question?
@pratikpatel0217 жыл бұрын
Chris Greene yes i got solution: is due to more cold weather the jumper supported and rod are cushing like grinders. I saw 5 different mechanic all said same: when weather goes up then noise will stop this is commom issue in few time at few cars. Now no noise temp around 0 or -3 around. When summer then no noise at all.
