The video commentary is confusing. It says tighten the adjustor nut at clutch lever end( 1:23 ) and then at 1:31 says to loosen the adjustor nut to four full turns. Something is not correct. The video should start by labelling the parts and ensure that what is described matches with the action.

New shotgun 650 have a gear shifting issue and 5-6 gear is slipping. rear wheel has a big play when the chain is tight enough. i complained but RE service engineers putting oil in the clutch wire 🙄. They are not accepting that bike have a problem. according to them the bike is good and they will not do anything! They underestimate the customer knowledge even he is a Mechanical engineer.

Firstly, the adjustor nut and lock nut at the clutch lever end are not so easy/smooth to adjust/turn as shown in the video. Secondly tighten the adjustor nut as hand tight as possible and loosen the lock nut if required (do not use two screw drivers to lock them, it increases the torque which is bad). Push the clevis shaft normally, do not push it forcely and then tighten the clutch cable nuts. At last check for lever play not more then 2mm to 3mm by placing handle at centre and at corners. Now the adjustor nut needs to be loosened which increases the tension on cable and then lock the cable lever end by tighten the lock nut. Make sure the openings of the adjustor nut and lock nut are not coincided, if they are then adjust accordingly if at all the cable end comes off or someone tries to tamper, then these nuts at clutch lever end are gonna save you.

Whats the clutch free play of interseptor 650 some says its 2 to 3mm some says its 12 to 16mm? Whats the actual play
