I don't think so, problen with Steve is the variety that he can play, for example Akola, Onin, DDee and all the other Steve players play way too diferent, is kinda hard to adapt to that, is not like is Mario and everyone trying to play like Dark Wizzy and just be a worse copy of him, or Leo playing Byleth and everyone just a bad copy of him, same could apply for Rob, some play very different.

Anathema was all over the place (in a good way). He really makes good use of Rob’s movement. Rob is so good at occupying lots of space with his projectiles and large aerials. Definitely pressures Steve when he’s trying to mine. Great match.

Anathema should have 3 - 0 ed Onin here. A shame that Steve being as broken as he is just allowed him to take away a game. Onin is certainly a good player...but he is getting carried as well.

Exactly some random players just said "they just need to learn the matchup" and the top players say's "onin is not a bad player or a normal player but Steve carries" the ones who know the meta better than anyone else the ones who addapt to any matchup or patch and still winning are the ones who are wrong but the randoms have the truth. Anathema actually blew the first game. He had a healthy lead, but tried to jump the wall twice, while Onin already had diamond anyway, and got cornered twice. You do NOT want that to happen against Steve. Steve has busted tools, but if Anathema had played more patient he might have won.

Steve has won more grand finals then almost every character while being in the game less then half as long. If you are denying the character is busted and is unfun to watch you are delusional. Look at joker for example, yes he is busted but he is very entertaining and hard to play. If steve wasn't such a snorefest the hate wouldn't be nearly as loud.

Yeah, this shows Onin was just lucky winning Smash Con, his Steve is definitely annoying but doesn't compare to the likes of Acola who just plays at a different level. Also refreshing to see someone know how to move around Steve and not just take hits like a punching bag. There's counterplay to this character, people just don't know how to defeat him.
